Misled I test drove a used car and the original service was great. I was told by the sales person that he would hold the car for a few days and then he woul I test drove a used car and the original service was great. I was told by the sales person that he would hold the car for a few days and then he would need a credit card deposit. I said OK. Today, Saturday, I was asked if I could put down a deposit with a credit card. I said yes. Then, they said I would need to come in before 6 PM to make the payment. I live out of town and couldn't do so. (I didn't have transportation since I sold my car to purchase this one, and I'm recovering from a broken foot, so I couldn't make the drive regardless.) I asked them to email the papers to me and I would return them with the credit card number for the deposit to hold the car. I also said I would be in town on Monday and could sign the papers in person if they wanted. No response was given to my text message all day. At 6:39 PM the dealership responded and said they sold the car and they wished me good luck in my search-very disingenuous. I'm temporarily, partially disabled, but the immediate sale trumped demonstrating integrity. More
