We are extremely disappointed with our experience at Huntley Ford and feel it is important to share our concerns with prospective buyers. Within 11 weeks of purchasing our new vehicle, it sustained $2, Huntley Ford and feel it is important to share our concerns with prospective buyers. Within 11 weeks of purchasing our new vehicle, it sustained $2,770 in damage caused by rodents chewing through soy-based wiring — an issue that has been widely reported in various vehicles, including the Escape. The vehicle was in the dealership’s inventory for approximately 11 months prior to our purchase. We were not informed of any potential rodent-related risks, nor was any inspection or advisory communicated at the time of sale. Subsequently, we have now observed rodent traps placed around the dealership property, which raises additional concerns. Despite this, no precautionary measures, disclosures, or documentation regarding inspection of wiring were provided before the vehicle was sold to us. When the damage was discovered, we were informed that it was not covered under the new car warranty, and the dealership would not offer assistance. As a result, we were responsible for the full repair cost less than three months into ownership. Selling a vehicle as new after extended time in inventory without clear inspection documentation or disclosure of known risks is concerning. Our experience reflects a lack of transparency and customer support. We encourage prospective buyers to ask detailed questions, request documentation of inspections, and thoroughly review warranty limitations before purchasing, especially of the car’s wiring and the attraction of rodent pests. Went in there for a Rear pinion seal leak on my truck and once they repaired that they noticed upon starting the truck that it was making a ratting noise. I have noticed it before but didn't know what it cou once they repaired that they noticed upon starting the truck that it was making a ratting noise.
