Aviod at all costs Recently I found a vehicle that was being advertised on several auto search websites that I was interested in. After contacting this dealer as to its availability and getting a Carfax emailed to me I decided to make the 3+ hour round trip journey to Brooklyn to look at it. I test drove the car and decided that it was a good buy and I was going to negotiate to buy it. I sat down with the salesman and explained that I was not looking for financing as I planned on paying cash for it. He went to his manager and came back to tell me that he would only honor the advertised price if I financed it with $3000 down. If I want to buy it with no financing it would cost me $3,000.00 more over and above the advertised price. I pointed out to him that on 3 different websites and the dealers own site there was no mention of the fact that the advertised price was only available if it was financed. Needless to say I left without buying the vehicle and the feeling that this dealer was dishonest and sleazy. The next day I decided to call the general sales manager to find out if he was aware of the unethical behavior of his sales department. I asked the receptionist to transfer me to his line and she kept asking me what I wanted to talk to him about. I would only tell her I was a customer who tied to purchase a vehicle and had a complaint and wanted to talk to him before I contacted Hyundai corporate consumer complaints. After waiting for a while a man who identified himself as Mohammed the assistant general manager picked up (he is listed on the company’s website as a salesperson) and again grilled me about the nature of my call. I repeated my explanation and was told he was not currently available. I then left my phone number with the request to have him call me when he was available. Almost a week later I have yet to hear from him which is not surprising as the Better Business Bureau gives Bay Ridge Hyundai a grade of ”F” . My advice to anyone thinking of dealing with this company is to steer clear; there are many reputable car dealerships out there but this dealer not one of them! More

With the intention of walking in and walking out, I went there yesterday to look at selling my car and beginning a new lease. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted by Juan and he made it his absolute mission to find the perfect car for me. Juan and Iggy were so helpful and were super patient when I left to make a final decision. They were never pushy and were honest and open about everything . Today when I returned to get the car, the computer systems went down . This was no fault of the dealership and I began to worry I might miss a doctors appointment. Without hesitation Juan assured me not to worry and if the car wasn't ready he would drive me there himself. Needless to say he drove me to the doctor and back to the dealership - talk about customer service ! We were gone less than an hour and when we returned my car was waiting. I'm so happy my wife convinced me to look at just one more place, because this was wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this dealership to my friends and family , and in fact I already have ! More

Dealers never last too long at this facility! Last year I went in to return my lease for another lease. I was there six long hours, for they were determined for me to get another lease from them. The deal was made and I had two payments left which was told to me they were gonna pay them. There were a few scratches which they (Bay Ridge Hyundai) told me not to worry about,Three months after ,I receive a letter from Hyundai Finance that I owe them $1300.00 for damage and last payments on my turn in lease. I reach out to my salesman who told me he was going to take care of this matter. I never heard back from Bay Ridge Hyundai or Hyndai Finance for nine months. I get a letter this week for the $1300.00 and go back to Bay Ridge Hyundai. The salesperson and manager are no longer there and the new manager can do nothing to help me just to show me the money They( Bay Ridge Hyundai) lost on my lease. I have nothing to do with what their figures were. This is a very poor business to deal with. I am held accountable for their lies. Hyundai Finance don't want to hear anything except to put me in collection! I have leased a Hyundai for my last three cars ( including my recent).I will never deal with Bay Ridge Hyundai again. I will also let others be aware of their disloyalty to me! More

And we wanted a new car, so it's already a scam (always bought used, but a lease can be a business tax deduction, or something) I came prepared, ready to buy or lease the Santa Fe based on the sticker price, but counting on the dealer incentives, which are available now on '17 year-end cars. I had some idea on packages, but Julio was so nice to take me to see if this car would fit into my garage and driveway, and then we drove down to their overflow lot, by costco, to see the packages. I looked at the Night and the Sport, which I ended up driving back. It's like going apple picking for cars. 28k - and I took a trade in, for which Camille gave me what I expected, over 10k. I put half toward a lease, as Max explained, and will get half back, minus the leather seat install that they will do for me later. So, 10-3, and I drove off in my new car - they took care of the DMV and insurance transfers on the spot. All taxes and fees rolled into my lease/downpayment - I came out at $195/mo and can buy out the car for 15k in 3 years. Or I can NOT BUY IT - freedom! Couldn't be happier! If the price doesn't matter, what does? Service, I hope. They promised me some oil changes, car detailing, seems like they mean it. Seems also like if there are problems, they will solve them. They're right in my neighborhood, so reputations matter. Oh, and it's been one day, and I'm loving the car! More
