Our experince in trying to buy a new vehicle For a number of years I've helped friends and family buy cars through the internet and I do my homework before buying a vehicle. We recently have been in the market for a new vehicle and specifically had been strongly considering a base Santa Fe GLS model. We sent requests for internet quotes to several dealers including Hyundai of Bedford. We received a detailed quote from Hyundai of Bedford for a new base Santa Fe GLS all-wheel drive model including a description of the vehicle and features, the actual MSRP, our price including specific rebates (which I verified that we qualified for), taxes and fees. It was very thorough quote. The next day we went to the dealership with the written quote we had received from their internet manager. It was a bit better quote than those we had received from other dealers and we chose the Hyundai of Bedford since it was closest to our home. We were told by the salesman that the dealer did not have the car in stock and would need to perform a dealer trade. I already knew this and the other quotes I had received from various dealers had indicated the same. Hyundai of Bedford had not had a base GLS model in stock for at least the past week. After conferring with the sales manager, the salesman then indicated they could not honor the original internet quote. Instead they could obtain a base GLS model but it would be front wheel drive rather than all wheel drive and would cost $1,000 more than originally quoted. When I asked about this I was told that Hyundai of Bedford's internet quotes do not guarantee that price. Further, the salesman indicated many times people come into the dealership with a quote and end up buying a higher trim model. That was not our intent. Given this, my wife and I decided to leave. We had previously owned a Hyundai but given our recent experience we will likely look to another brand. As for Hyundai of Bedford, we did not get a good feeling about the place and the price change did nothing to change this perception. More

Shopping for a new car I spoke to the internet service manager to communicate my interest in a vehicle on their lot. He told me to come in the next day at lunch. So I did. I spoke to the internet service manager to communicate my interest in a vehicle on their lot. He told me to come in the next day at lunch. So I did. When I got there the car was in the lot as he had said. It was dirty, inside and out with strategically placed bird droppings. In addition the car did not start as the battery was dead. The interior was dirty, the door panels were scuffed and scratched. Did I mention this was a brand new car? I had already discussed with their online rep what I was after and furthermore told the internet service manager that I would like to test drive the car and most likely make a deal during my visit. That apparently went on deaf ears. I communicated my disappointment to the Operations Manager and he said, "They why bother even driving it" I agreed and took my business elsewhere. The right answer would have been, "Let's get this car cleaned up for you and in the interim let's see if we can make a deal for your trade". I will tell everyone I ever meet to not deal with them unless, of course, they enjoy looking at a car that does not start and is filthy. More

Just be cautious Of course i decided to give them a try since I had only heard great things about them but i can honestly tell your hyundai has made the last 30days of Of course i decided to give them a try since I had only heard great things about them but i can honestly tell your hyundai has made the last 30days of my life stressful. I thought i was doing great i had recently got approved for a new car, i felt as though I had earned it. But before I could go purchase my hard plates I recieved a call to bring back the car or a co signer, I took a cosigner and after sitting there for a little over 2.5 hours someone finally came and told me that they would be taking my car because my co signer had not been approved, it became extremely hard to understand why they would let me drive off the lot and keep a car for a little under 30days if they were aware that I would not be able to keep it. So i returned to the car after being told that I would recieve my down payment. I waited and waited and still nothing its gets pretty sad because when u want to purchase a car everyone wants to talk to you, but since I have called and called about my refund and I am only placed on hold and sent to countless voicemails with no call backs. I usually dont like to cause any trouble but honesly my heart it broken, to get a car and have it taken back is terrible and to not recieve a refund after you were told you would is even worse. Do me a favor and Please look eslewhere before going here its not worth the headache or the pull and tug on your stress. More
