I started a chat session with Josh and asked about a specific car with the stock number. I simply asked about the price he said what would I pay. I gave him a flat rate out the door and his response was sure. I asked about some photos of the inside and he sent them via chat very promptly. He asked where we live, he explained some hail damage. I asked if he was sure I could walk out the door at the under $4000 price, then he stopped talking to me for a few minutes. Came back online saying he was finishing with a customer. Asked again about the price and he said again a few minutes later that he was finishing with a customer again. It was at that point I printed the transcript and talked with my wife about driving there. With rush hour traffic would be an hour drive. Finally sent one more chat saying that I was heading over to get the car and to please text me if there is any issues so I don't waste my time. I left. Once I returned home Josh did respond that someone else was looking at the car, but never once did he call, text me to say that. I get to the dealership and someone says are you being helped, I say I'm here to see Josh about the Subaru. Waited 30 minutes and finally went inside to find him. Another sales person greets me and when I explain he says the Subaru is being sold already. I tell him that I was on a chat and was coming in to buy it and that no one called me to tell me this. He says just wait for Josh and leaves. After waiting another 15 minutes Josh walks quickly past me to the GM's office and I call the other sales person over. Explain that I am angry and need to speak with the manager. The GM asks me to step out front to talk (assume so no other customers can hear this story) and tells me that the car is already sold, sorry. I explain about the chat and how I was the customer first and that I have proof. He tells me that I can say nothing to tarnish Josh's reputation. He tells me that he really doesn't believe me. I tell him that I have proof, he again tells me that he really doesn't believe, but that if I want to wait for him to finish with 2 other customers before me that he would then look at the email, but that he really doesn't believe me. In my conversation I did get angry and said this is BS (spoken out) and he turned around threatened to call the police and have me removed. I apologized for my words and explained again how we drove all this way and were the first customer and his response was I'm sorry but I don't really believe you. This is the absolute worst experience that I have ever had with and type of customer service. Apparently they are right and we as the customer are wrong. I hope that customers stay away from a business that treats people this way.

Is there any warranty type of thing on an older used car like this... if we drove off the lot and it fell apart? or the engine blew up.
