In early November 2025, I brought my Hyundai in for a damaged tire. The drop off process was very quick and easy and I was quoted a price for replacement. I made an appointment for the work to be done the next day. I told the service writer my wife would be bringing in the vehicle and verbally confirmed the estimate. I was asked if I wanted a copy of the written estimate but I declined. I declined the copy because I trusted what I was told and did not think there would be any issues. The following day my wife brought the car in for the tire repair. At that time, one of the service writers gave my wife an estimate which was $20-$30 higher than the original quote. When my wife told the service writer the estimate we were given the day prior, he said the quote couldn't possibly be correct and the repair could not be done at the price we were quoted. He asked my wife if she had a copy of the estimate because he couldn't imagine someone giving her such a quote. Eventually, the estimate was worked out and the work was completed. However, on two occasions during the visit, the service worker also provided a quote which was approximately $100 higher than the original estimate due to a requested oil change which had already been included in the previous estimate. The oil change was supposed to be complimentary since the vehicle is approximately 1 year old and it was the first oil change to be completed by Hyundai. Eventually the work was done and my wife paid the bill. My wife was treated as though we were trying to do some sort of scam and get work done for a lesser price. We are very honest and loyal people. As a paying Hyundai and Kia customer, we expect the same in return from the staff at the dealership. I will continue to use the dealership for repairs and maintenance in the future, but I will make sure I obtain a copy of any estimates and I guess I will have to come in myself because my wife was not treated well during her visit. I did not like the very stident upsell at the service interval. That's why, since you asked for a yes or no instead of maybe, I could not recommend Hyundai of Wesley Chapel to any of my friends unless I interval.
