Mr. Morefield, We are genuinely sorry that this situation ended in frustration for you. However, we feel it’s important to clarify a few points for accuracy and transparency. After seeing your original review, both our Service team and General Manager reached out in good faith to better understand the situation and explore possible resolutions. Despite the distance and the vehicle being at another dealership, we made multiple efforts to assist—including direct communication with the second dealer in South Carolina to try to align on diagnosis and repair options. Because we were unable to independently confirm the root cause of the issue or verify a repeat failure, our ability to offer reimbursement or a refund for prior service was limited. Even so, we did not disengage. At your suggestion, we explored the option of selling you a 2012 Prius from our inventory at a price well below market value as a goodwill gesture to help offset the situation. That option was ultimately declined, and you chose to purchase elsewhere, which is entirely your right. At no point was our willingness to help contingent upon earning a sale, nor was our intent ever to “offer nothing.” Rather, we made several reasonable attempts to make things right within the constraints of the facts and circumstances, though we understand those efforts did not meet your expectations. Regarding documentation fees: Georgia law does not cap dealer documentation fees, and ours are fully disclosed prior to purchase. In addition, every vehicle sold by I-95 Toyota includes Oil Changes for Life at no cost, along with other ownership benefits. We also strive to provide value beyond the transaction through active involvement in our local community, partnerships with area organizations, and ongoing customer support. We regret that we were unable to reach a resolution that you felt satisfied with, but we stand by the fact that we made multiple sincere and fair attempts to assist, exactly as we said we would. We wish you the best moving forward and hope your new vehicle serves you well.
