Recommend service center with reservations I was in for my 1st 10,000 mile check up. I was told my visit would be free-then at the end it was recommended I get new windshield wipers at a cost o I was in for my 1st 10,000 mile check up. I was told my visit would be free-then at the end it was recommended I get new windshield wipers at a cost of $91. My car is brand-new- 9 months old. Why would I need $91 wipers already? I’ve barely used them. I declined the wipers but left feeling like they just wanted me to spend some $$. Now I have a trust issue with them for future recommendations. Over charged I was asked if they could replace the cabin air filter, I agreed not realizing until I returned home my husband told me the air cabin filter was done I was asked if they could replace the cabin air filter, I agreed not realizing until I returned home my husband told me the air cabin filter was done on June 29,2019 at a different Volvo dealership . There is no way the filter needed to be changed. It was approximately 90 days since the air cabin filter was changed. I know the dealerships are independently owned, there still is no reason to charge more than $39 more for the same part and labor. I was a previous South Shore Volvo customer for Many years when the dealership moved to Weymouth it was not convenient for me. I went to another dealership. I decide to have my oil changed and consider maybe returning to Rockland location. After this experience, this clearly is not good customer service . Why are you replacing parts not needed? The mechanic /tech should have realized the filter was not old. Instead I was over charged $161.52 for a part and labor that was not needed. More
