Surveysays, We appreciate you taking the time to write a review and share your experiences with us. We are sorry for the inconveniences- both with the battery and with the paperwork. We thought we made good by reimbursing you for the battery. From time to time this happens- people leave dome lights on after test driving, etc. and we wind up having to replace them. With regard to the paperwork, we are sorry if it wasn't explained clearly but any time you request additional monies out of the loan as a Missouri resident to go and pay taxes with, you are taxed on the total amount of the loan- not the selling price of the vehicle. In Illinois it is pretty common to finance the sales tax in with the lien, but when purchasing in Illinois, a Missouri resident must handle taxes at the Missouri DMV and you are taxed based on the amount of the loan.

Jeff we understand the frustration but your description of what happened Is not completely accurate. We had two Hyundai Santa Fe models. A sport- the one you had the quote on, and a different trim level- the model still in stock. Same color exterior and interior. Simple mistake on behalf of our staff and for that I apologize. We did in fact deliver the sport on Friday but on weekends it can take a day or two to come off of the website. I can assure you that no one on our team would intentionally "bait and switch" you. We have been in business for over 33 years and we don't need to deploy those sort of tactics to succeed. What happened is unfortunate and I am sure Laurie felt horrible, but making the implication that we are dishonest or that any of this was done purposely to trick you is just way off base. We are a dealership. We sell vehicles every day. That vehicle had been reduced recently and there were several parties interested in it. None of this makes your experience any more pleasant, and we understand that. I am assuming that based on your review you would never conduct business with us, but we do have access to other Santa Fe Sports with similar miles and equipment in that price range and we would be happy to help you find one.
