This was the easiest, most pleasant, and most satis their saleman, Scott Desrosiers. I leased a Passat SE TDI from Prime Volkswagen about a week ago. This was the easiest, most pleasant, and most satisfactory transaction with an auto dealer that I have had in over 50 years of buying cars. The salesman, Scott Desrosiers, was terrific. He met me on the lot quickly, asked me what I was interested in, what features I really wanted (I was only interested in models having the diesel engine), listened to me, questioned me on a few points to make sure he understood, did not try to sell me something else, and ended up showing and discussing in detail three cars - 2 Passats, and a Jetta - all with the diesel power train. I then got an on-the-spot comparison of two of these cars in terms of features, cash purchase price, or lease price under the terms I was looking for. A quick discussion and the deal was made, probably in less than 40 minutes. When I came to pick up the car, it seemed like everyone in the dealership greeted me, many of them giving me tips on getting the most out of the TDI diesel system. Bottom line: I got what I wanted quickly and with none of the usual nonsense and I am loving the car - its response, great features, solid German engineering, and, of course, the great mileage which based on my first week of mixed driving looks to be at least 45 mpg. More
