I had a good experience at Off Lease Only in Brandon (OLO) and would go there again to purchase an automobile. I primary interacted with Norman, Juan, and Ernie. I found the car I was looking to purchas (OLO) and would go there again to purchase an automobile. I primary interacted with Norman, Juan, and Ernie. I found the car I was looking to purchase online and called in advance. Norman met me at the dealership, brought the car over, and went with me for a test drive. Juan interacted with me about the trade-in, and Ernie handled finance. I like the dealership because all those I interacted with were polite and not rude or pushy. I checked a lot of prices online for the vehicle I wanted, and OLO provided the best price. OLO also offered the best price for my trade-in. OLO allows you to receive a guaranteed price for your trade-in online, and I highly suggest using the online interface to get a guaranteed offer rather than waiting until going to the dealership to get your trade-in offer. I don't like the dealership and paperwork fees, but compared to other dealers, OLO seemed to be on the lower end (but it still added approx. $1200 to the vehicle price). The fees feel like a hotel charging a mandatory resort fee separate from the room rate, or a restaurant adding an inflation fee to your bill. They're all doing it unfortunately. A suggestion I have for OLO would be to assign one person to interact with a customer when they initially call OLO (like a concierge to arrange everything). I had 4 or 5 people contact me and / or were transferred to from the initial contact. Although OLO seems to be a no pressure dealership, this wasn't my initial impression. I appreciated that I was able to take the car home even though financing wasn't secured. My wife and I traveled to the dealership on Fri, 12/23 at night. I received loan pre-approval from my credit union (CU) and brought the letter with me, and OLO had me qualify with back up financing with a competitive interest rate so I could take the car home. The only odd thing to me was the OLO finance dept. had me contact my CU after Christmas even though they could've easily handled it. The information my CU needed to submit payment could only be provided by OLO, and the contact information was provided in the pre-approval letter. One final issue, but it's the hazard with car shopping at night. I noticed a small chip / crack in the windshield a couple days after I purchased the car. Since the contract is "as is" (both my purchase and OLO for the trade-in), the windshield damage is my responsibility. I had a repair done by a local mobile windshield repair business, but the fix can't be guaranteed to hold because it appears a repair was already attempted. I may need a windshield replacement in the future. As I said at the beginning, I would go to OLO again because the people were nice and OLO offer the best deal. I did most of the transaction online (secured financing, received a proposal from OLO that included all costs, and valued my trade-in). Everyone at the dealership was cheerful even though my wife and I felt bad for keeping several people after hours 2 days before Christmas on a Fri., as it took about 4 hours to compete everything on arrival. More
