I would avoid this brand absolutely. Let this serve as a warning to all hyundai owners and prospective buyers. This company does not support their customers or their products. My 2018 So Let this serve as a warning to all hyundai owners and prospective buyers. This company does not support their customers or their products. My 2018 Sonata's engine failed on July 15, 2022 after two years of back and forth with my dealership (elgin hyundai) . After Elgin Hyundai falsified reports to hyundai national passing my engine through an oil consumption test when it should have failed. I then took my car to a new dealership who had to redo all past tests. Their directive was drive the car until it fails. Hyundai won't do anything until then!. The service advisor stated when it fails towe it to the nearest location and hyundai will take it from there. It just so happened to fail in Cincinnati, Ohio. 6 hours from my home in Illinois. The closest dealership was Jeff Wyler, superior hyundai and this is where my car has sat since July, 15th and it is now 11/18. After my car broke down It took over a month for hyundai to return my call. Jeff wyler refused to return my call or hyundai national calls. To this point after two months I rented a car and drove the 6 hours to Jeff wyler. At that point in time upon arriving to the dealership the service advisor stated it would take 6-16 months for them to evaluate my vehicle. I cleaned out my car and did what hyundai national advised me of ....wait! However while at jeff wyler i did speak to their sales manager Tim about a possilbe buy out. Tim advised me that they would not be able to purchase my car unil its completely fixxed. Again, months went by and Jeff wyler again is not returning my or hyundai's calls and out of the blue on 11/17 I receive a call from the service department at Jeff wyler stating my car is ready for pick up and there was never anything wrong with it and to remove it from their lot. After a few calls with the service department and sales office I received a multitude of different stories of what tests my car went through and what was done to determine it was tip top. I then immediately called Tim in sales and advised his service department stated my car was fine and that they drove it and I could come pick it up, I inquired what his offer would be. We came to a number that would pay off the remainder of my loan. However Tim stated he would have to drive it and confirm it's condition and drive ability. Which seemed odd to me as the service department just told me it was safe enough to drive back to Illinois and that there was nothing wrong with it. I questioned this and was told I would receive a call back, which I didn't. I then drove the 6 hours again to Cincinnati the next morning only to find out jeff wyler lost my keys with in the 24 hours they told me to come get it and when I arrived at the dealership at 1pm on 11/18. I was assured they would find it or they would at least be able to program a new fob and we were told to wait. After 2 hours we were informed they would have to order a fob and we would need to handle this at a later time. They gave me the expectation of the receipt of the new fob the following Monday 11-21. It is now 12-07 and I have yet to hear anything. They have not returned my multiple emails and calls regarding my car. I am at a loss with this and filed a formal complaint with the Ohio attorney generals office. More
Tried to buy 2 cars today. The Jeff Wyler monthly payment calculator showed $270/month each on two idential cars. They came back with a number 120% over their advetised price after putting 5k down. When you get on the lot they tell you they are charging an extra 12% over MSRP and their advertised price because used cars are selling higher. Their best price was still 26% over advertised price. AUTO DEALER FRAUD; 1. Inflating the total purchase price above the invoice or sticker price, such as by concealing options the consumer did not request, or by including other unapproved and undisclosed fees; 2. Advertising a vehicle for a certain price and then telling consumers that the advertised deal is no longer available and attempting to sell them the same vehicle at a higher price, often known as a “bait and switch” scheme. These are top down policies Jeff Wyler might want to check out FTCA. I will say the sales guy was really nice and its obvious he wasn't part of the fraud. I have bought all my cars and trucks from the Jeff Wyler group but never again today was just insulting. Advertised price with $5K down $270/month, their final offer $356/month, 131% of advertised price. Don't waste your time unless you want to get taken advantage of. More

I asked if they would have the parts for the recall in stock when I brought the vehicle in.They said yes. I dropped the vehicle off and left it with them. I called twice the next day for a status and had to leave a message as no one would answer. I went to pick the car up the next evening and it hadn't even been touched. The keys were still in the envelope for the drop box. They said they didn't have the part for the recall. This is the third time this has happened to me. Communication with the service personnel is extremely poor. I don't understand why I have to schedule a month out for service, they know what part I need, and yet they can't get it into stock and have it reserved. The service said the part would be in the next day. I informed him I needed the car and would need to reschedule. He returned the keys and walked away. The service here used to be great. Over the past 2 to 3 years it has been steadily going downhill. I would not recommend this service department to anyone. More
I took my car for it be fixed while it was still under factory warranty, they were about to charge me until I disputed. The issue on the car was not fixed and the representative has told me it was a damag factory warranty, they were about to charge me until I disputed. The issue on the car was not fixed and the representative has told me it was a damaged bolt joint, the day (12/08/2021)I went to get it replaced, the same representative was asking me which side of the car was it?if the car was really checked, how come he didn’t know which side it was. The service is very poor and the job was not done at all and I’m very disappointed with Hyundai on every level. They just wanna get you out of there so they can move on to the next job that brings in money. More
Poor customer service. We had purchased three cars from them, one new and two used, and can't imagine buying another. Both sales and service have been a nightmare. We bought used Santa Fe on July 23rd. The salesman’s name was Will . We test drove the vehicle and there was 12 miles left in the gas tank and we were afraid to run out so we didn’t go far. We get back and t was Will . We test drove the vehicle and there was 12 miles left in the gas tank and we were afraid to run out so we didn’t go far. We get back and they just laugh and shrug off the low gas in the car but after that is when we should have walked away. When negotiating price we were told we have to pay for some valuguard protection for the interior, a “new car” warranty on a Certifed used car, VIN etching and a “recertification fee”. We did not want any of the fees or warranties we just wanted the car and the benefits that came along with a certified used Hyundai vehicle. We were told that all those fees were non negotiable but after some back and forth we were able to get them removed except for the recertification fee which if you ask me is bogus. We finally get to a price and I told the salesman we are good on that price as long as all the extra fees were removed and the trade in would be deducted from that set price so let’s say it was $33,000 and we had a $4,000 trade in we were guaranteed by the salesman multiple times that all extra fees were removed and that the $4,000 would be deducted from the $33,000 giving us an out the door price of $29,000. We agreed to that signed a paper and let them run my credit. Low and behold he comes back with the monthly price and it’s not even close to our expectations. We asked to see the breakdown and he takes us back to the used sales manager Tim to review. Valugard and VIN etching were still included and the actual Out the door was $33,000 after our $4,000 trade in. Complete opposite of what we agreed to.Tim then asks what they can do and I told him to do the original deal we agreed to and he laughed and said he’s not doing that. Honestly that was so disrespectful in our eyes for him to laugh at us and I feel like we were bait and switched. Will the salesman did admit that he did tell us the original deal which good on him it could have been easy for him to not take responsibility. We eventually negotiated the additional fees off but every time we did Tim was frustrated. We get home and I try to put it behind me because we did get a great car and it was close to the price we wanted. Comes time for us to get our title and all other paperwork so we can take it to the DMV. Guess what the title and all other paperwork get lost in the mail. I can’t blame them for that but what I can be upset about is the fact when I spoke to both finance managers about this they told me for a month straight that they would figure it out. So after 4+weeks of being told “oh it will be here next week”. They told me after all this time that Capital One gave them wrong information and that I need to call and request the duplicate title. After being told for a month+ they were handling it I get this dropped on me. At one point one finance guy told me that their finance team had all the documents and would be sending it to me. I had enough and wanted to speak to a manager not Tim. So we spoke to the new car manager Matt and he apologized and said that it is a bad situation but they did what they could do and now I need to call the bank to get it resolved. I get it and if they would have told me this from the beginning I would have been okay with it. But they strung me along so I call capital one and they said “the request was already submitted by the dealership It just takes 30 business days for the duplicate” Also there was undisclosed damage to the front end of the car that they admitted to after all this and they tried to fix it before selling but it was not done well. Tim also used the vehicle to go on a golf trip he said. There was over a 1,000 mile difference between the listing mileage and actually what was on the odometer when we test drove it. I told this to Matt. He said he would speak to Tim and Dennis the GM about seeing what they could do for all the troubles I had it has been 3 weeks since that conversation he told me he would call me 2 weeks ago about it and has not. My word of advice do not shop with Superior Hyundai south. More
