I stopped in looking for a specific model and price on a used car. I was promptly met by Robert, who was friendly and took the time to listen to my specific needs. He showed me several models that he though used car. I was promptly met by Robert, who was friendly and took the time to listen to my specific needs. He showed me several models that he thought might work, until we found one that worked out great. He introduced me to Don, who was very friendly and willing to meet my financing needs. Things went so well with that purchase, that I decided to by another car from Robert. This is my 2nd KIA Sorento purchased from Carriage KIA, although it is a 4 hour round trip drive for me. The customer service is outstanding. I had a wonderful experience with this dealership! I have heard the commercials for years on 104.7 the fish and thought I should give it a try. Don Pippin was a miracle worker, getting me exactly what I wanted for payments, and an even better interest rate that I would have imagined. DISHONEST. I called and talked to Megan several times about the price. After given a verbal quote, I specifically called 3 different times to confirm that she would really honor the price. She then email about the price. After given a verbal quote, I specifically called 3 different times to confirm that she would really honor the price. She then emailed me a quote. The price was not honored. I got a laundry list of reasons why the quote wasn't what I thought it was. I was very specific about the exact options, and that the quote included all the taxes and other fees. Megan assured me of this. The email mentioned the package, but didn't list that it was inclusive of the other costs. I was told how that the sales people "don't understand" "this" she surely didn't mean the price included "that". It sounds like the sales force don't know very much. I explained that I clearly discussed all of the details with her. I was also lied to about the financing until the actual paperwork was brought out to sign. I was offered a rate, and I asked if it was still available for the term I was interested in. I was told it was. But the actual papers were brought out with totally different numbers. I was expected to just sign it without anyone ever mentioning that it wasn't what we had just finished discussing. I bought the car, because I didn't have time to deal with more of the exact same garbage from another dealership. I thought that since Carriage advertised on the Fish, that I'd get honest people. I was wrong! Apparently the dishonest car salesman stereotype is true at Carriage Kia! Also, the people tried to act like they were friendly, but were actually manipulative. My wife and I weren't able to get a babysitter to look at the car. We had been at the dealership for over an hour, and our son was becoming tired, and we needed to either buy a car or leave. The car salesman stopped us from driving off and treated me like I was rude for having to leave and take care of my son in spite of my son screaming in the back seat of my car. All of this adds up to a very bad customer service experience, a very bad "friendliness" experience, and a very bad overall experience. More
