He was on a smoking break at the time so I said no I do not want to interrupt your break. Next thing I knew the cigarette was gone and we were shaking hands and doing introductions. We told him our price range and what we were looking for so we went to his office to break down reality. A Ford Focus was in our price range and possibly what we were looking for. He got a set of keys and sent us on a test drive with out a second thought. We did our test drive and brought it back, happy with the little car and started talking final numbers. (this is the basic model so no real badging) Me being a man asked why the Focus S had no S on the back. Then I said if we buy this I might just need that little piece of plastic. We ended up buying the car S or no S and when we came to pick it up after detailing It had the shiny little S on the back making my car a one of a kind here in Columbia. Its a stupid little thing but its those little things that make a great sales person. Now when we bring in the car for an oil change we get a loaner (since we work close to the dealership) so we do not have to depend on friends to take and pick us up. Brad is the kind of person I will still try and buy from even when I no longer lived in Columbia. More

New F-150 Experience It has been 12 years since I purchased a new Ford F-150. I thought back then that the service and sales personnel where OK. They did their job and I w It has been 12 years since I purchased a new Ford F-150. I thought back then that the service and sales personnel where OK. They did their job and I went on my way. Visiting and working with Mark Dietzel at Joe Machens Ford was a whole new experience. I spent over two hours with Mark going over the in's and out's of owning a new vehicle. He took me on a tour of the vehicle lots and experienced seeing the vast amount of vehicles for sale. We test drove two vehicle that I though would fit my style. I must have had a hundred questions for him concerning style, options and pricing. All where answered in a professional accurate manner. When it came to pricing- the sales people worked with me on what vehicle fit my budget. After getting preliminary numbers, I left and contacted other Ford dealerships and went on line and purchased Consume Reports on the vehicles I wanted. In all cases, Joe Machens price beat them all. They where up front with all their quotes and pricing. Nothing was left in the dark. Good Job guys. More
