I am getting conflicting information from two well known tire dealers about the offset of my rim. I called Kia Service who was unable to tell me the allotted offset for my vehicle. I was transferred to the Parts department who didn't even know what an offset was. 2) I brought my car in for a recall and requested that they look into why it feels like a ball rolling around under the drivers seat. Three times they kept trying to tell me it's a rattle from either the rear view mirror or the charm that I have on my gear shift. I explained to them multiple times that it is not a rattle it is a feeling of something moving in the seat. I told them to take it for a test drive and turn the corner and they will feel it shift. Needless to say they believe that if I ride with the technician I will be able to help diagnose the vehicle. I'd like to know how I am supposed to determine what the technician does or does not feel. Seriously hire some intelligent, skilled mechanics and services technicians. If it weren't for the warranty I would take the car to a reputable mechanic with common sense. More

The service manage came out carrying two filters and advised me that the air filter and cabin filter were very dirty and needed changed. I asked him how much it would cost. he said 15.00 for the one and 19.95 for the other. They replaced them along with my oil change. When I got home and reviewed the bill they charged me $46.48 labor. I called the service department back to inquire about the charge and they assured me it was correct. Seriously that is highway robbery at its best. I asked if I had said no to the filter change if they would have charged me that labor fee and I was told NO, they would have put the old filters back in. So if your dealership is putting an old filter back in for no charge why should you charge to put a new filter back in. They also wanted to replace a sway link for $94.11. I declined there offer. I checked with a very reputable mechanic near my home and was advised if you change the sway link you should change both and he could do that for me (change both the right and left) for 125.00. Needless to say I will not be coming back there for my future oil changes and repair work on my vehicle in the future. I was considering on purchasing a Kia Sorento in the near future. Because of this experience I will probably not buy another Kia because of it. PS They gave me a form asking for 10's on the satisfaction survey which I have always received after having service work done at the dealership. When I called back and spoke with the service manager I advised him I would not be giving them 10's on their survey this time and guess what? I never received a satisfaction survey to complete. Just goes to show if a customer is dissatisfied and they know it, they won't send a survey to them. More
