Going Above and Beyond I met Dave Burris at Shawnee Mission Hyundai on 11/3/14. Dave assisted me with test driving four different cars and spent hours answering all sorts of questions, reviewing rebates and financing and discussing the available options for the cars I was interested in. During that time he was friendly, patient and engaged. It was - by far - the best experience I've ever had when buying a car. I left the dealership with a 2014 Hyundai Elantra Limited and loved the car! 6 weeks later, there was a problem with my credit that required me to return the car to the dealer. That was a difficult situation to get through even though I completely understood the reason it was required and I wanted to do the right thing. Dave remained supportive and never once made me feel worse for what had happened. He stayed in touch with me and continued to encourage me while I cleared up the issue with my credit. Two months later, my credit was cleared and I returned to the dealer to find that the original car I had purchased was still available. With Dave's assistance along with Chris in Finance, I was able to get the car for the same price as before with a lower interest rate and payment due date that fit my budget. I did a lot of research before I bought this car. My research indicated that Hyundai is the best automobile for the price in today's market and offers a better warranty as well as far more features and options with the vehicle. In addition, I obtained estimates to ensure all the model cars I'd explored (including Subaru, Honda, Toyota, Kia and Ford). The Hyundai vehicles were more affordable to insure than any other make or model. I had test driven my first Elantra at another Hyundai dealer and only went to Shawnee Mission Hyundai because I discovered online that they had one on the lot in the color I wanted. It was my good fortune to have come to this dealer. Not only did they take excellent care of me as a customer during the buying process, I have every confidence that they will continue to be supportive during the life of my vehicle - providing service and assistance with anything I might need. It's great to find a dealer that feels more like a family than a shopping mall. I would strongly recommend Shawnee Mission Hyundai to anyone that is in the market for a vehicle. More

He even took a key to my new car home as he new I was out of town and wouldn't be back until late on a Saturday. He then met me on Sunday (out of dealership hours) to collect my new car which I was obviously excited about. Henry and Carolina both followed up from the sale very well and it is only due to my schedule that I have not been back in to finish setting up the technical aspects of my gorgeous new vehicle.
