I have purchased several cars over the years and all have had at least a little of what I describe above. Well, this all changed this past Saturday when I pulled into the lot at Shawnee Mission Hyundai! My wife, who loves to shop...........ok whose doesn't, came with me for the first time to see for herself what the headache was all about! It's shopping, what's so hard?!! We started out early and visited 3 other dealerships and manufacturers. Being a KIA owner I am familiar with the quality and the bang for your buck you get with the Hyundai Motors Company. So we stopped at the Hyundai dealership to take a look. Henry Frazier greeted us outside and invited us in. It was cold that Saturday, so getting out of the elements was a welcomed idea. He offered coffee and a comfortable seat and we obliged. The dealership is spacious and well appointed yet not too pretentious! We felt at home and Henry helped make that car lot uneasy feeling go away. We sat and chatted about our needs and what exactly we were looking for. The professionalism and quite frankly his ease of selling his product was quite refreshing. No hard sell, no back and forth with the manager, no double talk, took me by suprise. We found a vehicle we liked and test drove it and I got the thumbs up from my wife. Not only did we get the car we wanted ,but the price and financing was right where we needed to be. That was a great afternoon. The best car buying experince ever!!! Thank you Henry for sharing your wit and wisdom and your follow up after the sale meant alot. Visited the dealership mostly to test drive a few Velosters. Wasn't necessarily intending on purchasing from them, and not necessarily that day either. Bryan did a good job demo'ing the car for me. I feel like I was up front with him on what I was looking for and my price point, and I feel he was honest with me on what he'd be able to get for me. When it was clear that they didn't have a vehicle in stock that would fit my needs/price, I told him what my next step was - go to a competitor that had what I was looking for. Bryan asked if he could get the car here at the price I was looking for whether I would buy from him. Since my dealings with him up to that point were good, I agreed to give him a chance. About 15 minutes later we had a deal. We agreed he'd have the car delivered and ready for review/pick up the next morning. Surprisingly later that night I got the call that it was ready. While I wasn't able to pick it up then, I appreciated the speed in which they took care of that. At no time did I feel any pressure, and I appreciated the lack of 'games' in the whole process. While I probably could have dug in and pushed for a little lower price, and would have had I felt Bryan was a typical sleazy salesman, there really is something to be said about having a pleasant experience buying a car, and this was.\ I feel comfortable with my dealings with Bryan and would recommend him to anyone who was looking for a new Hyundai. More
