While relocating from Philadelphia, one of the bigger decisions I would have to make is choosing a car and after my parents made the switch from Chrysler to Hyundai about five years ago, I wanted to see decisions I would have to make is choosing a car and after my parents made the switch from Chrysler to Hyundai about five years ago, I wanted to see what had convinced them to make the switch. The first thing that's immediately apparent about Shawnee Mission Hyundai is that the facility is rather new and incredibly large. When I got out, I started looking around the lot (without being hassled, a huge plus for me) and when I walked back towards the front of the lot, I met Quinton Frizell who could not have been a nicer (or funnier) person. After discussing what I was looking for (an Elantra), Quinton showed me the differences between the packages (base, premier, limited), which led to a test drive in a premier. During the test drive, Quinton pointed out the features of the car when appropriate and we talked about the resurgence of the Hyundai brand and places to live and what there was to do in Kansas City. It was more like a test drive with a good friend who happened to know a lot about the car rather than someone whose job it was to sell the car. Afterwards, Quinton and Michael Ball worked with me to get the car down to a more than reasonable price and Patrick Duffer did the same to get additional protection on the car during the "paper signing" phase. At the end of the day, I ended up buying the Elantra over the other cars I was looking at (Dart, Imprezza, Corolla) partially due to the car, the Elantra is a very nice car for the price, but also due to the fact that I felt like if something ever happened with the car, the people at Shawnee Mission Hyundai would take care of me. I feel like six months from now, I'll get the same level of courtesy and care as I did before I had purchased the vehicle. More

I went into this dealership excited to test drive and hopefully purchase a Hyundai Elantra. After some negotiating, I was able to get a price that I thought was fair and that I was happy with from Micha hopefully purchase a Hyundai Elantra. When I arrived to complete the purchase and finalize my trade-in, Henry was helpful and demonstrated all of the features of my new Elantra. Rebecca, in the finance department, was very friendly and took the time to explain the different options. She made the process as pain-free as possible while still covering the details. I really appreciate her positive attitude. Overall, I am happy with my experience at Shawnee Mission Hyundai. The biggest complaint I have is just the amount of down-time and waiting I had to deal with as a customer. I know this is probably outside of the salesperson's hands, but it kind of takes away from the excitement of the experience when you have to wait for prolonged periods at each step. I would recommend this dealership, though, and I am happy with the outcome. More

After visiting several dealers we chose Shawnee Mission Hyundia for two main reasons. First reason was our salesperson Matthew Pauley and the second was the overall dealership experience. There was no high pressure sales, what there was, was a collection of people whose main focus was making sure we were being taken care of. To my surprise they were turing over every rock trying to find all of the different incentives (rebates)they could offer us and they totaled up to an impressive figure. Their trade-in offer was more than we expected. Bottom line: If you want a new vehicle, want to be treated like royalty and get the best deal you will ever see, then you HAVE TO GO to Shawnee Mission Hyundia. By the way, my new Sonata Hybrid is GREAT. More
