I had an excellent experience when I went to purchase my car from Reed Hyundai. Omid had the car running and waiting when I got there. The financing process took longer than expected due to computer issue car from Reed Hyundai. Omid had the car running and waiting when I got there. The financing process took longer than expected due to computer issues, but after 3 hours of being there, we were on our way in my new car. I did have an issue with a disconnect in communication that I didn't find out about until 11 days after I purchased my car. When Omid was selling me the car he asked if I would like to roll the sales tax into my loan. I told him yes. I didn't realize during the financing process that my sales tax was not rolled into my loan and included in my monthly payment until I received the title paperwork in the mail from Reed. When I realized this hadn't happened I contacted Reed, and Omid said he would look into see if anything could be done. Six days later, I did not hear anything from Omid, so I followed up with him to see if anything could be done. He hadn't checked to see if anything could be done. He told me he was walking back to finance to see if anything could be done. A short time after that, Omid responded and said the deal had been funded so he was pretty sure nothing could be done. I was very upset with this, I felt like Omid wasn't taking any accountability for the disconnect in communication and could care less that I now had an unexpected financial burden on my hands. I felt like Reed did not care one bit about what had happened, as I tried to contact the sales manager and general manager with no response. I finally received and email from the sales manager Kent Rose, who was very determined to help restore my trust in Reed Hyundai. We were both able to work together to come up with a solution. I did have to cancel some additional options I had purchased at the time of sale and have my monthly payment increase by $13, but Kent made sure to do everything in his power to keep my monthly payment at an an amount I could afford and get my sales tax rolled into my loan. I am very satisfied with how Kent worked with me, but I am still slightly disappointed I had to go through all of it to begin with. It is a lesson learned, and hopefully my experience will help Reed to ensure this disconnect in communication doesn't happen to someone else. More
