Dishonest It took 3 days for me to get an answer on a check engine light. The first day I get a call and am told that I have metal shavings in my oil and that It took 3 days for me to get an answer on a check engine light. The first day I get a call and am told that I have metal shavings in my oil and that I need to replace my engine. Then later the same day I am told there weren’t any shavings in my oil, but I still need a new engine. I was also told I couldn’t get a loaner car because there were so many others waiting for new engines that they had a backup on loaners. Red flag... The next day I had to call in after receiving no follow up and they still couldn’t tell me what code had come up on the diagnostic test. By the third day, I just wanted to know what code it was. Spark plugs. An unnecessary amount of work with a big expensive diagnosis without anything to back it up. Definitely got the impression that they were just trying to replace as many engines as possible. No thanks. I paid for the spark plugs and diagnostic test. More

Terribly Slow My oil change took nearly an hour and a half. I had my car there at 7:10 for my 7:15 appointment and didn’t leave until 8:40!! Oil changes don’t take My oil change took nearly an hour and a half. I had my car there at 7:10 for my 7:15 appointment and didn’t leave until 8:40!! Oil changes don’t take that long. The worst part was I asked how long it would take before I scheduled it and I got told 20-30minutes. After my oil change I asked what took so long they blamed it on the computer... I didn’t feel like a valued customer. I have another free oil change per my purchase agreement for my new car and after my experience, once I use that oil change I will no longer be coming back for service. The wait was just ridiculous. No reason to go to Reed when the mechanic that worked on my old car would change my oil in under 30min. I’d rather give him my money and save time. Also, I don’t know who I worked with so I chose the entire service team below. Staff was friendly but saw them standing around a lot.... More

Quick and Courteous Service Josh with the service department was courteous and answered some unanswered questions I had with my prepaid maintenance plan. When I purchased my Josh with the service department was courteous and answered some unanswered questions I had with my prepaid maintenance plan. When I purchased my car the lady working in finance sold me a prepaid maintenance plan. I initially told her that I did not want to add any cost to the deal that Matin and I agreed to. She then told me that this basic plan would cover my oil changes and tire rotations at 7500 miles for the next 5 years. The truth is that the plan only covers conventional oil so I will have to change my oil every 3750. Had I known this, I would not have financed this additional cost and just paid for the oil changes on my own and possibly just used what ever the service department recommended to keep my warranty for the car. So far, the adding of the prepaid maintenance plan under false pretenses is the only issue I have had at Reed Hyundai. More
