I took my car in for an oil change on 12/29/10 and was told I needed the following: 1. front brakes (includes pads and rotors) for a price of $697.00. I had the brakes done today at a non dealer shop told I needed the following: 1. front brakes (includes pads and rotors) for a price of $697.00. I had the brakes done today at a non dealer shop who used all volvo parts (pads and rotors) for $446.45 ($484.96 with tax). There is just no reason that there should be a price difference of $250.00. 2. 4 tires for $1,150.00. I was quoted from tire places approx. 200-250 less. 3. Exhaust bracket for $132.00. Mechanic could not find this problem. 4. change 2 rear marker bulbs for $53.00. Mechanic could not find this problem. The prices are just ridiculous for this economy, or for anytime for that matter. Everyone was helpful and courteous when we went to purchase our Volvo. They listened to all the options we wanted and were able to find us exactly what we were looking for. I would just like to point out a few people that made my decison to buy a Volvo there. Tony Martinez was amazing. He came out and introduced himself which really impressed me. The other two Volvo dealers I went to they didnt even care that I was there. He did what ever he could to make this deal happen and was extremely professional and friendly from the moment we got there. My salesperson Eric Tambini was the nicest person I have met in a long time. He was pleasant and helpful from start to finish and I felt he really cared about me and this sale. Bravo to him. Last but not least, Michael Conway did our final paperwork with a friendly, helpful, pleasant attitude. He answered all our questions and really made the experience wonderful. I also want to mention the girl who went over the warranty with me. She was wonderful as well. All I can say is the whole process was truly wonderful and my thoughts of buying a car and dealing with dealers has changed dramatically. I am a customer for life. I love my XC-70 T6 and I love Karp!!!!! More
We had been taking our car to a shop, recommended by the Volvo club blog site, that specialized in Volvos and Saabs. These guys had done a great deal of work on it, amounting to about $2700. But one problem always lead to another (which never happened before they "fixed" it) and there was a continued recurring electrical problem. The car would simply be dead - for no reason. They did all kinds of things to it, and yes, they were less expensive than Volvo. But this went on and on. Finally they told us they had no idea what the problem was, and there was nothing more they could do. That was when we took it to Karp. They fixed the problem and it cost about $700, and it turned out that what was causing the problem was that the other guys had disconnected the alarm system and left the wires raw and they were shorting out. In addition to fixing that problem, Karp gave us a list of other things that needed to be done to the car, in order of importance with prices, spending the time to explain what each item was, why it was important, and if and how long the problem could be put off. I am a person who always tries to research a problem, because I have found that part of getting a good solution is asking the right questions. Karp gave me the information to make decisions about repairs and I felt, for the first time, that a car dealer service treated me the way i would have treated a customer if it were my business. I am very happy with them. More
this is the 5th volvo i have leased/purchased from this dealership and sales associate. It is a pleasure working with people who actually want you not to be pressured into "must get this deal today only" T dealership and sales associate. It is a pleasure working with people who actually want you not to be pressured into "must get this deal today only" They want to make sure you are 100% satisfied with purchase and are completly satisfied before you leave the showroom. But it doesnt end there. the service at Karp is better than great. The work done is first raten and they never try to sell you service you dont necessarily need. More

I have been a Karp customer for the last 3 years. They are the most professional and friendliest people I have ever encountered at any dealership. I would like to share my experience, It was about 7:30pm and my car would not start my son was able to jump start the vehicle (my son did not believe the charge would hold very long). I immediately called Karp and spoke with Mark who told me to bring the vehicle right over. They diagnosed it as a weak battery and was able to replace it right then and there. Julie (Service Manager)informed me that evening that I have now become a member of the "After Hours Club". Thank you Karp Service for making my experience a great one. More
