Worst car shopping experience in my life. Before signing for the new civic, I was highly pressured to buy the car that day. This dealership is beyond incompetent and has the worse customer service in the state of Texas! I loved my Honda and it is a great car but since this is the only dealership in my area I will not be able to customer service in the state of Texas! I loved my Honda and it is a great car but since this is the only dealership in my area I will not be able to ever buy one again. Honda should totally pull their name from this absolutely terrible dealership! You will regret doing business with these people! More
Don't trust this place!!My friend bought a car here Don't trust this place!! My friend bought a car here this past week, and the finance officer scammed her. He goes by Javier, but his real name is J Don't trust this place!! My friend bought a car here this past week, and the finance officer scammed her. He goes by Javier, but his real name is Jesus Balderas. He lied to her that she did not qualify for any other loans than the one through Honda finance IF she paid a large sum down. She told him from the start that she got a pre-qualification through her bank, but he lied and said that she doesn't qualify any where else. The only reason she found out was because her bank emailed her the very next day to tell her that she still has the pre-approval. The rates for the pre-approval was over 5% less than Honda financing. He wanted to make a quick buck, and lied. She recorded her conversation with another loan officer at the dealership, and he told her that he saw that Javier did not run her credit with her bank. He just made her believe that he did. What a crook! Take your money else where and do not trust these people. My friend is already spreading word to everyone she knows, and I am doing the same. This dealership should be shut down for all the crooked things they have done. Managers are looking the other way because this finance officer is making his sales. Look through the reviews, Javier is not the only one who does this, and he has done this to many other people. Beware! More
I went with my best friend to get her a new car, and she already knew what she wanted. When we got there the car sales guy was really informative and professional. He was excellent. After he handed us of already knew what she wanted. When we got there the car sales guy was really informative and professional. He was excellent. After he handed us off to the finance officer, Javier, Jesus Balderas, things went from great to a nightmare. He took advantage of my friend by being deceitful. What I learned from this experience is that I will not be doing business with Honda Cars of Katy and Javier. He is not looking to build relationships with his customers, and making sure that they give a good review to make himself more money by being a morally good person. No, this man is all about what he can take from his customers right then and there. He does not care about building a trusting relationship for customers to come back. I was considering coming back had my friend's experience been great. I witnessed how he lied, and he is completely okay with screwing customers over for a quick buck. I have an almost 20 year old car, and I am on the market to find something more reliable. My brother doesn't have a car, so we were both going to make a trip in soon. They just lost out on two customers, but what does that matter right? You guys have more innocent people to scam. I hope people are reading these reviews before coming in to purchase a car. More
I got a pre-approval from my bank, but my bank was not able to email me any of the information on the spot. My bank told me to have the financing team at the dealership run my credit with them to pull up able to email me any of the information on the spot. My bank told me to have the financing team at the dealership run my credit with them to pull up what my offer is. I always walk into a dealership with a pre-approval, but my bank told me that the finance team could do that for me while I was there. Ok, no problem. I already knew which car I wanted. Test drove it, and went to financing. I came in like an hour before they closed, so I knew everyone was ready to go, including myself. The financing team ran my credit, and the finance manager I worked with was Javier. He told me with my low credit score that I did not qualify anywhere else. I mentioned my bank, but he said that Honda would offer the better rate. Maybe they usually do, but this time this was not the case. Javier told me that I did not have any other options, and that I needed to put down at least $6000 to qualify for the Honda finance loan if I wanted a car that night. Then he questioned me by stating, "Let me guess, you only have half of that (half the down payment he is requesting from me)"? I should have listened to my gut, and realized that he did not have my interest as a customer at heart. He was trying to make a deal, close out, and go home. He even said, "There goes my goal of getting out of here by 10pm." I was an idiot, and did the down payment, signed the loan thinking this is my only option like he said. I thought Javier ran my credit with at least my bank or another bureau to make sure I got a good deal. Nope. I have in recording from not only his colleague, but the New Cars sales manager whom I spoke to the very next night that he did not try to find a better deal. He just pushed Honda financing only. I got an email from my bank with all of my pre-approval information the very next morning, so I went up there hoping they would rectify the situation for me. Malek, another financing officer tried to be helpful, but lied that there was no managers there for me to speak to. Javier finished helping his customer and came out to speak with me and my husband. He told us his hands were tied and gave me some info on how to refinance with a credit union instead. He said none of the managers would be able to help us. We could try to talk to them, but it's not going to do us any good. We found out that there was a manager there unlike what Malek had told us. We spoke to Jose the New Sales Manager, and he was understanding. He agreed that we were not getting the best deal, and that he would do his best to work things out for us. He promised to call me back around noon today, so hopefully he will have good news. After this experience, I have decided to report the company to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Better Business Bureau, TexasDMV, and I also reported them as a scam. I have recordings, my pre-approval letter, and the documents that I signed with them. I have given consent to go to the news and media with my experience and proof. I don't want anyone else to get scammed into having to finance for a higher rate because their financial officer did not do his due diligence to make sure he was taking care of his customers. I don't want someone to make the mistake I made by believing their financial officer when he tells them that the only option was to finance through them. Shame on him for lying. Don't do business with them unless you have no other options, and you are prepared to get screwed over. There are some good people working here, but as a whole. They do not care about their customers. I am making sure everyone I know, including my patients, to be aware of this dealership. They are also not accredited with the Better Business Bureau. That says a lot about this company who has 1 out of 5 stars with the BBB. More

The poor customer service here is the primary reason for this 1 star review. There were other contributing factors, however the lack of respect and low integrity crossed a line. We've owned multiple Honda v this 1 star review. There were other contributing factors, however the lack of respect and low integrity crossed a line. We've owned multiple Honda vehicles over the years and we've always chosen to service them at the dealership. Fortunately we've always been treated well by Sterling McCall and Gilman. We've recently moved to Katy and unfortunately Honda of Katy was closest dealership to us. Looks like we'll be making the extra drive for our Car purchasing and service needs. More
