Buying my 2022 Honda CR-V was a pleasure. The staff in the sales and service departments are polite. However, I called because my car has a bad ball bearing (at only three years old!) I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer over Christmas and have not been driving my car (nor has it been driven by anyone else) since the middle of December 2024. In late March I noticed how it was loud at 40 mph and above. I had my tires rotated since I thought that might have been the problem. It wasn't. I took it to my mechanics in April and they told me it was the ball bearings. When I called the dealership, I was told that my car was past warranty by two weeks. My mileage was more than 4,000 miles UNDER the warranty and i was two weeks past the date of purchase. I explained my illness and how that prohibited my ability to get in touch with them in a timely manner (dealing with HR, my inability to work, insurance, hospitals, etc.). They were correct in the letter of the law, or warranty, but there was no compassion or personal care. My last car was a twelve-year-old Toyota Camry and I never had to change a ball bearing on that car. This will be my last Honda or car from a Ganley establishment. More
