Your Toyota Certified-Pre-Owned Warranty is USELESS at Ganley Toyota. I took my 2017 Rav4 XLE in today because the engine struggles with gear changing. Ganley said it costs $179.99 to check and if they d Ganley Toyota. I took my 2017 Rav4 XLE in today because the engine struggles with gear changing. Ganley said it costs $179.99 to check and if they determine it's a covered problem, they go from there. But the customer pays until they make that determination. The service tech said he'd go for a ride with me, for free, to see if it acts up. It's an intermittent problem, so I declined. I asked if I took it elsewhere and got it diagnosed, would they honor the warranty. He said it was up to the dealer to verify, so again, I would have to pay upfront. They didn't tell me this on the phone when I scheduled a service visit. Luckily, I mentioned to the service tech that it's under warranty (when I checked in) or I would have been stuck with a bill. BUY FROM A DEALER WHO HONORS THE BRAND'S WARRANTY. GANLEY DOESN'T. More
