I am very disappointed with the service I received at Ken Ganley Subaru in North Olmsted. On July 10, 2026, my husband brought our Subaru Forester in for an oil change and tire rotation. We received a Mul Ganley Subaru in North Olmsted. On July 10, 2026, my husband brought our Subaru Forester in for an oil change and tire rotation. We received a Multi-Point Inspection report showing that everything was in good condition except the windshield wiper blades. A few days later, we noticed a noise coming from the front of the vehicle. When the dealership called to conduct a customer satisfaction survey, my husband mentioned the noise and was given an appointment on July 16 to have it checked. At that visit, we were told the left ball joint, cotter pin, bolt, and nut needed to be replaced at a cost of $849.48. We questioned why this issue had not been identified during the Multi-Point Inspection just six days earlier, especially since the noise was not present before the service. We were simply told that the vehicle was old and that this was normal. Wanting to be sure, we took the vehicle to an independent mechanic for a second opinion. After inspecting the car, the mechanic told us there was nothing wrong with the ball joint and that it did not need to be replaced. A few days later, we drove to Michigan. On the way home, a loud noise developed from the front of the vehicle. We immediately took it to another repair shop, where the mechanic found that one of the driver's-side wheel lug nuts was missing and another had not been properly tightened after the tire rotation. The loose wheel was causing the noise. This was a serious safety issue that could have resulted in a much worse outcome. Unfortunately, this was not our first negative experience with this dealership. During a previous oil change, I returned home and found oil leaking onto my driveway. After bringing the vehicle back, the dealership determined that the oil drain plug had not been tightened properly, causing the leak. Based on these experiences, I have lost confidence in the quality of the workmanship and the attention to detail at Ken Ganley Subaru. Customers trust a dealership to perform routine maintenance safely and accurately. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience, and I cannot recommend this service department. More
