Good service folks, poor support of VW-problem vehicles. We purchased our 2002 4-door, VW Golf, diesel at Ganley. We have had a long series of problems with the car over the last 17 years. The car has 75,000 We purchased our 2002 4-door, VW Golf, diesel at Ganley. We have had a long series of problems with the car over the last 17 years. The car has 75,000 miles on it and is meticulously maintained. Greg Kerro in service has been especially helpful and responsive in recent years. In the past, an onboard computer failure after just months of ownership was addressed outside of warranty, however, more recent failures ranging from fuel injectors to multiple repairs tied to engine-light illumination have cost thousands. Over time the car has been unable to come close to the advertised VW standard of 34 mpg city and 45 highway. New week the turbocharger will be replaced at a cost of $2,000+. Neither VW nor Ganley has taken responsibility for a substandard product as we have borne the cost of a 10-20 reduction in fuel economy for years. We like there car, but it has not delivered as promised by VW. More

My brother brought my car in for me, tire leaking air. I have the road hazard plan, tire was replaced within a day at no charge. Only negative--when he (my brother) dropped the car off on Saturday abou I have the road hazard plan, tire was replaced within a day at no charge. Only negative--when he (my brother) dropped the car off on Saturday about 4 p.m., the woman he dealt with was rude to him, said they were closed, she couldn't possibly help him, and he should drop the keys in the drop box (which he did).
