I’m sorry you a wrong or this is just another lie. I NEVER requested that new plates not be issued for my Tiguan. So let’s get that straight right now. I very specifically asked if it could be done ( could I get the plates transferred? And if so, could it be done after the 24th!!!!). I made myself VERY clear why I needed it done this way. I was told that it would not be a problem. Now, if you were not there ( and you were NOT) don’t tell me what happened. I WAS there. I understand your need to protect your team players, but just because you all play on the same team DOES not mean you all are not shady!

You all making the last payment on the Passat has absolutely NOTHING to do with the second to last payment that I am talking about. As you are well aware I made the second to last payment and that is where the problem came in. You all making the last payment on the Passat was a deal offered to me BEFORE even getting the Tiguan. Stop trying to reduce what I am saying and twist things to make yourself feel and look better. $100 gas card? Could that be the same one that was also supposed to be included in the deal when I got the Tiguan? Um yeah, I was told that would be mailed to me. Haven’t seen it yet. And if you want to say I was never told that, I will be more than happy to post the messages for you.

Public dealership response: Lameika, To begin: Thank you for choosing Ganley Westside Imports as the location to purchase your new Volkswagen Tiguan. We appreciate the opportunity to earn your business, and are disappointed that your new Tiguan has not been the reliable vehicle that we expect out of a new VW. I understand your frustration with your new vehicle, however I feel that we have made every effort (at the dealership level) to accommodate and address your concerns. Specifically regarding your Dealer Rater review, I am confident that we DID NOT lie to you at any time. If you would like to contact me directly with examples of our dealership lying to or cheating you in any way, I would be happy to assist you in any way that I am able. To address a few particular points with regard to your experience, I feel it is important to clarify the following facts: 1) You requested that we NOT issue you new license plates so that you could transfer your VW Passat (which was coming up to the end of it's lease) plates over to the new Tiguan. Your intention was to keep driving the Passat before transferring the license plates over to the Tiguan. We did recommend issuing new plates for the Tiguan to avoid any issues, however you declined this option. 2) Your sales rep is not immediately aware of the availability of loaner vehicles for our service customers. As you acknowledged, our Service Dept did provide a Tiguan loaner vehicle for you while your vehicle was in the shop. 3) Your first communication with our service staff was on 2/14, and they immediately provided a loaner vehicle, and began work on diagnosing your vehicle's issue. They contacted Volkswagen of America to assist in the diagnosis, and they recommended a repair which was performed under warranty. 4) You picked your Tiguan up on 2/16, and test drove the vehicle with one of our Service Advisers before indicating that the prior issues had been repaired to your satisfaction. To summarize, I understand your frustration with a new vehicle having mechanical issues, however I also feel strongly that we have done everything in our power to make an unpleasant experience as tolerable as could be expected. Your request with the license plates was a very unusual one, and according to protocol, we issued you a check for your final Passat lease payment. We have limited control over how quickly a license plate transfer occurs, and your unusual request is what ultimately led to your license plate problem.
