Poor Service Condescending Service Lady Drove my Hyundai Sonata this morning (2/8/2017) to this dealer as I was experiencing intermittent power loss and was worried that my engine may be goi Drove my Hyundai Sonata this morning (2/8/2017) to this dealer as I was experiencing intermittent power loss and was worried that my engine may be going out similar to what other owners of 2011 - 2014 Sonata's have experienced as a result of which Hyundai has prolonged the warranty to 120 K miles. Walked in the service center after parking the car outside at 7:45 AM and none of the two people acknowledged or greeted me continuing to work on their computer / paperwork so after waiting two minutes i asked if am supposed to just walk in at which point the young man says we need to check you in. The lady then asked me what the problem was and i said that i think i am experiencing engine failure at which point she laughed and said that its not engine failure if you were able to drive it here. I then asked if some one could look at it and confirm if it was safe to drive as i am worried about my safety and she asked if i had an appointment which i did not so she asks if i can leave the car without offering me the option of getting a loaner. I told her i can stay and she says it might be a while since she needs to service existing appointments which is understandable so i ask her can she give me time estimate as i would like to wait and she says it will probably be around 3 - 4 PM before some one can look at it (it is currently 7:45 AM) so i ask if some one can just quickly see it to ensure that it's safe to drive and she says no we cannot do it. At which point i thanked her for her time and miserable service and decided to take my chances driving to my regular Hyundai dealer in Mentor which is about 40 miles away. Made it there in one piece and they offered a loaner and told me they would call me back as soon as they check it. If any one is reading this from management your people manning the desk need some training on customer service. I understand that I did not have an appointment but my experience would have been so much better if your people were polite and at least pretended to show some sympathy. As it is you have have lost me as a potential customer for what it's worth More
