Purchase of 2019 Equinox Enjoyed working with the salesman, Gabriel Salazar. He was friendly and easygoing and we'd recommend Gabriel. However, we weren't pleased at all with Enjoyed working with the salesman, Gabriel Salazar. He was friendly and easygoing and we'd recommend Gabriel. However, we weren't pleased at all with the negotiator nor the closer. We left the lot feeling like we received no give and take on the price negotiation and that we were basically told that the product wouldn't hold up because it had '6000 computers' and all the 'young people these days know that you have to buy the extended warranty on anything electronic' because electronics frequently malfunction. Also no negotiation on the interest rate even though we were paying half down and have excellent credit. When I asked if there was a pre payment penalty as I'd probably try to get a better rate from my bank or credit union, I was told that we'd only save a 'few dollars' by doing that and the people that pay a little higher rate with GM are 'helping them make loans to the people that don't have as good a credit'. Seriously. Sounds like we were being called prehistoric and also told that the product wasn't built to even last through its first 36000 miles. Not a good feeling. Not nearly the satisfying experience that we received 9 years ago when we bought our 2011 Silverado at this dealership. More
