Service bait and switch On Oct 3, 2018 I called the number listed for the dealership service department and asked for a quote on a B124 service, basically a tune up, spark pl On Oct 3, 2018 I called the number listed for the dealership service department and asked for a quote on a B124 service, basically a tune up, spark plug replacement, and oil change. I was told that the estimate was $199 so I made an appointment for the next morning. I chose this dealership because I had heard good things about it, and even though I only live about 1/2 mile from the closest Honda dealer to my house, I went to Honda of the Desert. When I arrived for my appointment I was quoted $545 for the service. When I asked why it was so much more than what I was quoted on the phone they told me that I had called their call center in Utah (no I didn't, I called the number on the website...how am I supposed to know I'm not talking to someone at the dealership?). This seems like an easy cop out to me. Anyway, I have no way of knowing how well they perform repairs because I felt like they were playing games, giving one price on the phone and a different price when I arrived, and I left without having the service completed . More
