It was supposed to be a simple warranty repair on the used FORD F-150 that I’d bought from them.. It took 2 weeks to even LOOK at my truck- then I was told it needed a NEW ENGINE!!- my engine was shot…an used FORD F-150 that I’d bought from them.. It took 2 weeks to even LOOK at my truck- then I was told it needed a NEW ENGINE!!- my engine was shot…another 2weeks go by and I’m told I have to pay $999.89 for them to tear apart my whole engine and find the exact specific reason why it stopped running and needs to be replaced… After I get upset about that, I’m told that IF the specific reason my Engine took a poop is covered by the PT Warranty, then I’m not responsible for the $999.89 engine teardown!!!! I argue that we should find out from the PT Warranty company if it’s covered then!…I find that No one in the world had heard of this “Company”that held my powertrain warrantyI including Kerry Ford which is where I’d purchased my truck AND Warranty!!! Another week goes by and I get a VM telling me the Engine is Fine. It’s in fact something called the Fly Wheel (which has absolutely nothing – not a xxxx single thing to do with the engine!) So… Come to find out that since it took so long Dash the fly wheel isn’t that covered by my warranty but the things the fly wheel broke/ruined while waiting to be fixed we’re not covered by my warranty… I ended up being without my truck for 2 1/2 months and paying out of my own pocket $1200 and a month and a half worth of Rental Cars and a month of begging and asking for rides to and from work and everywhere else… Embarrassing and xxxxxxxx More
I scheduled a recall fix at 8:00am and dropped it off the night before. I called a few times during the day and was redirected to a busy line so I just came back just at the end of the day and found out the night before. They said they didn't have the part which was odd because I scheduled 3 weeks previously and called mid week to ask if they were ready. Also why didn't they call me and let me know? Seriously suspect they just didn't bother to get to it. I scheduled 2 weeks later at 9:00am and dropped it off that morning. I was expecting to pick it up at lunch but they weren't done so I showed up just 4:00. Was told they were just finishing up and it would be 30 to 45 minutes. I didn't get my keys back before 5:45. Would they have even done it if I didn't show up before to ask for my car again? This was a recall so I wasn't expecting them to squeeze me in but I scheduled weeks in advance and had my car there early each time. They have no regard for me or my time. What was the point of me trying to schedule at all. Super disappointed. More
