If I could give him 0 stars I would. I met with Benjamin 2 weeks ago in hopes of getting a Kia Sportage for my cousin. My cousin and I had been to several dealerships prior to that and I met with Benjamin 2 weeks ago in hopes of getting a Kia Sportage for my cousin. My cousin and I had been to several dealerships prior to that and had received a competitive offer for a Jeep Compass. When speaking to Benjamin, we informed him of the deal and asked if he could beat it. Long story short, Benjamin wasted our time. He said he could, and he gave us pretty much the same offer, 4K down, 479 a month. He said the only issue was we needed to wait 2 weeks for the car. We agreed and left a $500 deposit. Fast forward, when we came to pick up the car, we were under the impression it would be a seamless transaction being that numbers were vetted and negotiated weeks ago. However, Benjamin had no recollection of the agreement, and did not store adequate notes. He asked us to remind him of the numbers and we did. We waited approximately 3 hours while Benjamin seemingly went to speak to finance. I am 33 weeks pregnant, Benjamin didn’t even have the courtesy or professionalism to even offer me a water or a snack as we waited. Communication was extremely lacking as we had no idea what was going on, and why it was taking so long but my spirit told me that this is not a good sign. Finally, he called us over to go and speak with the finance manager. As we are speaking with the finance manager, I noticed that on the folder where I had previously observed Benjamin write the numbers on, he added to the 4K down, 479 a month “plus taxes and DMV fees”, which was absolutely NOT a part of the agreement. What was most problematic about that was he wrote that part after he walked away from us. This would entail another 5K down, meaning we would have to pay either 9K down, 479 a month or 4K, and almost $800 a month for a Kia Sportage. Benjamin and I went back and forth, as he attempted to speak to me in a condescending manner. I had to let him know that I have an MBA in finance, BA in accounting and graduated top of my class. Additionally, this is my 5th leasing transaction, so if you think I have “stupid” written on my forehead, he is gravely mistaken. In essence, if you want to spend Porsche money on a Kia, and want your time wasted Benjamin Deleon of Bronx Kia is the man for the job. More
