To start from the beginning, I saw an add on FB advertising no down payment; bankruptcy, repo’s and poor credit accepted, etc. you had to respond to get a “certificate” and there were only so many advertising no down payment; bankruptcy, repo’s and poor credit accepted, etc. you had to respond to get a “certificate” and there were only so many “certificates”. Being that my husband and I were looking for a vehicle, I made the mistake of responding. We set up an appointment for 10/9/21 and I was told to ask for “Allison”. My husband and I drove about an hour and a half to reach the Dealership. We go in and I ask for Allison. It is obvious now that there is no Allison, and that is a code word for sucker. A young man named Skylar began to help us. He asked what we were looking for. We told him we were looking for a SUV. He asked the amount of payment we were comfortable with and how much we were going to put down. I told him about the voucher and he said, “I wish they wouldn’t do that. That only applies if you have good credit”. So we told him what we could put down. I then told him that our credit wasn’t great due to over $150,000.00 hospital bill, plus all the other bills that stagger in from a near death experience I had over 2 years ago. I am still oxygen reliant. He suggested running a credit check first. The next thing we know, he comes out saying that they have the perfect vehicle for us! He drives around what he claims is a 2016 Ford Fusion. My husband and I were shocked!! Do we not have a choice of what we want depending on our credit score? We decide to go ahead and drive it. It was okay, but had over 93,000 miles on it. Dirty seats, the tint was bubbling on the window of the front passenger door, and the console was slit. After the test drive, we were iffy about the vehicle, but decided to make the deal. Once he started with the paperwork, the model of the car changed to a 2015 and the down payment changed to $1,200., my husband and I decided against getting the car. That’s when Skylar’s likeable personality changed to huffing and being short with us. My husband told him we were sorry to which Skylar replied, “I just wished you had told me before I did all of the paperwork [about 10 minutes of time]. I have a car lot full of customers and could be helping one of them”. My response was that he would not have to spend another second on us and we walked out the door. We got a few feet away and he yelled out of the door, “where’s the car key”? I told him it was in the car. When we got outside, there was exactly 1 customer on the lot who wasn’t being helped by anyone, and they had just gotten out of their car. Also, Skylar’s Apple Watch kept dinging over and over. He told us it was his wife about a football game. To sum up, this Dealership and Skylar waisted my time today!! It was deception after deception after deception. Avoid unless you are Jonesing for that Fusion!!!! More
