I do not understand why a spare key was not offered with the sale. How do I go about obtaining a spare key? It scares me to think I'm a lock myself out without being able to get back in.

Secondary keys are not always available with pre-owned vehicles. New cars guarantee 2 keys. If your key has buttons, you will need to visit us to have the key programmed to the vehicle. Please verify the last 4 digits of the VIN to your van and your name. I'll be happy to get a second key for you at our dealer's cost. Our vendor is here on Tuesday mornings.

My question now is...What is the dealer's cost? It's should be standard to assure that all vehicles, new or used, have two sets of keys. I would think this would be a part of optimum customer service so the customer does not worry about such issues. The last four digits of the VIN is 4937 and my name is Wilkins, Jackie. I'm sorry if I seem a bit brusque. I'm just trying to get things done in a timely manner. Could you tell me what you need me to do in order to get a secondary key? And what the cost may be? It would be very advantageous to have a spare before the middle of May. Thank you for your help.
