I found my experience at the dealership was without stress. This is my second review for Young Vw, my first experience was stellar, second visit was just as great. We just bought another Vw TDi, this time a Golf for my father. He came from a Jeep and tired experience was stellar, second visit was just as great. We just bought another Vw TDi, this time a Golf for my father. He came from a Jeep and tired of fuel expenses, I recommended a Vw diesel. After the test drive he was sold. Joe is another wonderful sales man and was a joy to work with. He knew exactly what we wanted and happened to have the exact car, color and options we wanted. This was another excellent sale, delivery and experience, so much that my mother will be purchasing a Tiguan very soon. It all goes back to how wonderful my initial visit was, because of that, my family and some friends have purchased Vw's from Young. Thank you for another great experience Joe, see you soon!! More
I have my 2003 Jetta serviced for some specific transmission issue (delay in reverse gear on cold engine) that I want to get fix. I dropped off the vehicle and after couple of hours, I was told of transmission issue (delay in reverse gear on cold engine) that I want to get fix. I dropped off the vehicle and after couple of hours, I was told of 'what needs to be done' to fix the problem to which I approved. However, when I picked up the car, the problem is still persist. The recommended repair didn't do anything at all to address the issue I reported. And then I was told of the car's repair history which has somehow suggested about 4/5 years ago of some transmission issue. I bought the car 4 years ago at another dealership and has not experience any problem at all (perhaps they have repaired it). It was only recently that the issue I reported came out and even with that, the car still runs perfectly (you just have to warm it up). I can understand that the recommended repair didn't work out well as they may have misdiagnosed it, but the thing is, the service guys doesn't seem to know what's causing it nor what's the appropriate repair for it. What seems to be they are recommending now is to just replace the transmission (just like that). I thought that since it's a VW shop, they would know the vehicle better, apparently not. To be fair, the service advisor (John) was polite throughout the process but couldn't really give me a better explanation/recommendation other than to replace the transmission. So bottomline, I spent a good amount of $$ and still didn't get any resolution at all. More

Over the years I found that the courtesy discount is not automatically applied to my invoices and that I have to request the discount, although it is willingly supplied by the service consultants. I purchased a well maintained Passat from the original owner at 100K and have driven it for 40K. It has required a great deal of engine and suspension service at far greater cost than the GM products I am familiar with. This is no reflection on the dealership, but a comment on the overly complex engineering and feature package from the manufacturer. More
