Tried to charge me for diagnostic work. I have purchased 5 vehicles from this dealership. In the 12 years since ive first purchased a car from Lake geneva chevy I have never once been charg I have purchased 5 vehicles from this dealership. In the 12 years since ive first purchased a car from Lake geneva chevy I have never once been charged for diagnostic work whether or not the vehicle was under warranty. This time they wrote everything up and said it would be $175.00 for the diagnostic work and they would let me know after that what was wrong with the vehicle. I find it hard to believe that after all these years that they would charge a long time customer to diagnose an issue that would be fixed at their dealership. I let them know that I was going to either have the vehicle fixed or purchase a new vehicle that day. Either way I was planning on spending money with them, either by purchasing a new vehicle that day or servicing the current vehicle. Once they told me i was going to be charged for them to look at my vehicle i decided that I would not be returning to their dealership. More

Brake fluid exchange? The previous oil change we had a service rep suggest a brake fluid flush. This is prior to even getting the car on the lift. A quick google of this service reveals it to be an dubious at best and a scam at worst. Either way we got out last oil change that came at no charge when the car was purchased and will be taking it to a different mechanic for any other needs. More
