A Chinese company must have printed off 600 of these things to handout to suckers like me. I came there after work thinking I won something. These guys get it done , I have used Kunes for many years for my service work. They get me in fast and the price is always way under what I am expecting to pay. Purchase was ok but Post Purchase was a Nightmare! Deleted last two original 1 star reviews to continually update on status. Bought a 2012 Sonic in Feb 2018 with 92,000 that required 4 trips to the dea Deleted last two original 1 star reviews to continually update on status. Bought a 2012 Sonic in Feb 2018 with 92,000 that required 4 trips to the dealership and would have cost me over $1500 out of pocket if not more but by fighting with service department both locally and delavan eventually it was the Sales side that followed through and did what the service side wouldn't. It took quite a bit of effort to bring it back each time and I was nearly stranded on a couple of occasions. So never buy a used car from Kunes and don't deal with their service departments, especially Mt. Carroll's Vince. Brandon kept me from getting too angry as did the area Sales leader. I never met the man but he is the one who told the service department to fix the car only a month or so after I bought the dang car. I had the initial issues not been fixed this would have gotten far worst than simply some website reviews. After 8 months of ownership on my way to work I unfortunately hit a deer and had to deal with my insurance and Kunes gap offerings; call your insurance company beforehand or get gap before buying from a dealer don't take theirs especially warrentech, and it took 2 weeks for my insurance to pay out and about a month for gap but it took over 79 days for Kunes to pay out their $500 they owed me. I was patient and pleasant and would allow a week or two between phone calls and emails on updates until 2 months after the incident when I found out Kunes lied and the money came from them alone. On December 5-6th they should have cut a check to my bank but it took me driving over an hour to meet with Josh in person before it would be done the next day. They refused to cut me the check that day made out to my bank as the "business manager" had just gone home who had been sitting on it since December; that was January 8th, it took til January 14th before it was given to my bank. During this time I had to get a personal loan as I waited well over two months. My insurance paid over $5000 within only a couple of weeks and the crappy gap company within a month so then why did it take Kunes over two months! Do not go to Kunes for any reason and do not purchase any coverage with Warrentech. Stay away, they don't care and will only do the bare minimum. I wasn't picky about my car, I was picky about my price, I was never rude, I was always patient, I knew what I could afford and that it needed to be reliable which it wasn't and was a head ache from day one. I repeat do not go to Kunes nor take any dealer offerings. Get your own financing and contact both your lender and insurance company about additional Gap coverage as it is usually far cheaper ie 1/2 to 1/3 the cost as apposed to the dealership head ache. More
