While a surcharge for credit cards is not uncommon, this is the only time I have ever been charged a surcharge without being informed either written or verbally that there was one. Had I known I would pay a 3% surcharge on a collision repair, I surely would have either wrote a check or hit the ATM. It was not until the card was charged and I received a notification to my phone from my credit card company that I was made aware of a surcharge. Pretty slick. More
