Until today I had always received great service. I made an apointment for 9:30 on a recall. They told me it would be 4 hours i also had 2 appointments that afternoon. Beware of the service department. I have had such a bad experience with lakeland ford that the last time I was there I told them I was never coming back. It started when I bought my F2 I have had such a bad experience with lakeland ford that the last time I was there I told them I was never coming back. It started when I bought my F250 superduty diesel truck. The sticker stated that the purchaser had a free oil change service. I purchased ten oil changes when I paid for the truck. When I read my paper work, the free oil change was not included. The management tried to tell me that diesels weren’t included. After talking to every manager there I called Ford Motor Company and coincidentally the management of Lakeland ford called to say my free oil change , as stated on the window sticker , would be honored. I had them e-mail me verification of same. Then on my first service I caught them not rotating my tires as part of the service. I called it to the service managers attention and only after he checked his video of the garage, he had me bring it back in for the rotation service. As part of the service program I bought they were to top off all fluids also. Most of the time they failed to top off def fluid and never topped off windshield washed fluid. Once, when I walked out to start home, I noticed that the mechanic had dripped oil all down the left front fender and had dripped def fluid all underneath the fuel cap. It had dried on the paint leaving white crystal residue. I can’t believe anyone can be so sloppy in their job.....Now fast forward to my eleventh visit. That’s one free one and ten I paid extra for. They again were caught not rotating my tires. That was my final straw. I will do my best to tell everyone I talk to about their ineptitude. The irony of it all is that I worked in sales for that same dealership 25 years before I bought this truck. More
