This experience was extremely disapointing This has been a terrible stressful experience. I went to the dealership on 12/31 looking for a used truck. A used truck was spotted by my wife online This has been a terrible stressful experience. I went to the dealership on 12/31 looking for a used truck. A used truck was spotted by my wife online, and I went to the dealer to inquire about it. Once I was there I saw this vehicle did not have a "tow package". Thjs vehicle would not fit my needs at this time. My salesman asked "J.R." for assistance. he was asked if there were any vehicle that had a tow package with a 3.5 engine with Ecoboost. We took a few steps to the rear of the dealership then we went straight to a 2016 white F-150. I looked a the truck it looked real nice. I told them I would return in a few hours after work to see if this would fit my needs. After work I got to the dealer and completed two test drives on this vehicle. I have always been a ford fan currently owning two mustangs (1967, and 1985) and currently owning a 2006 F-150. the test drive went well and we went back to "J.R.'s" office to complete paperwork. At this time a paper was placed in front of me already filled out giving my salesman a rating of 10. I found this odd. normally you don't fill this out until the end, and it is not normally prefilled out with the salesman standing over you. I waited a bit and went to finance. Once there I was advised No problem you have financing from GTE, already approved and you are good to go. I was to return the next day and take possession of the vehicle. That evening we drove to North Florida to get my trade in, while at dinner it was discovered that this vehicle had been in a accident via the Carfax. I got extremely upset at this point and felt like I was taken advantage of. I would have never purchased this vehicle. I feel like I was misled and I was steered to this vehicle so the dealer could get rid of it at this point. There are several f-150's for sale I did not need this one in particular. The saleman's actions has locked me into this vehicle because the trade in would be disasterous financially. I feel like I made the worst decision I could have made and I feel like the dealer should have been honest with me and told me about this accident. The amount of damage is inconsequential at this point, because now I will be trading in a wrecked vehicle. We called the dealer because I do not want this truck. It is a reminder of the terrible practice of your dealer not being forthcoming about a vehicle accident that your dealer knew about. This information was online, however I was at the dealer shopping not online. How would I know about the Carfax. I was told there was nothing we could do, becuase the deal was done, and you were already paid for the vehicle. This was not the case, we were lied to by the manager and the salesman at this time. GTE never approved this loan they did not pay you, the letter I recieved from them stated the equity in the vehicle was insufficient, and I had too many revolving charge accounts. I then receieved a call from finance stating they would secure another loan. on January 17th I receieved an email from Credit Karma stating my credit was run 6 times this date. I did not understand this. based on the previous conversations. Then a few days later I receieved a letter from your dealer stating that you are excercising your right to cancel the contract. I called your dealer to turn the truck in this would have fixed my problem. This issue could be put behind me and I could go to another dealer that would be more honest. I have always had great experiences with service and the new car sales side. but this has been terrible. My trade in was finally paid off on february 12th. 44 days after the deal. More
