Sold me a used car with airbag system disconnected On 1/27/2018 I bought a 2005 Mini Cooper. I know I bought the car as is, and I expected some issues, that I would have to repair. Two days later, toda On 1/27/2018 I bought a 2005 Mini Cooper. I know I bought the car as is, and I expected some issues, that I would have to repair. Two days later, today 1/29/2018 my mechanic found only one problem that will cost me $500 to repair, which I am willing to pay. But at the same time he said the airbag system has been disconnected or disabled. Now this is something I never expected. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE!. What I have been able to find out is, 'It is illegal for a dealer to sell a car with airbag system tampered or disabled" This car should never have been sold with this airbag issue. I would expect (HOPE) the Dealer to take the car back, fix the airbag issue, or refund the purchase price plus the fees. I hope they will live up to their reputation, I will see. More
