It's been a disappointment from the second we signed our name on the dotted line, just like the above commentator wrote. It is unbelievable how these people, mainly the service side, have a job. The service manager, Steve Markley, had nothing but rude and condescending comments when the service dept. scratched a chrome piece on our van. His unfortunate retort was, "We don't claim to walk on water. We ordered you a part to replace it." This happened while we were trying to get our first free oil change and to get our remote start installed, which took them a week to schedule, only to find out they didn't have the remote start parts and that they needed to be ordered first. They were supossed to call us to schedule the appt., but we ended up having to call them to schedule it. Since we already paid for the part, it's no wonder they didn't rush to get us in. A week later, when the appt. was made, they turned us away, saying the mechanic is out on a back injury and they couldn't do it today. That's when we noticed the scratched chrome piece to the gear shifter. They said they would order a new piece and that's when the service manager became punitive in his remarks. We had to take this up with the sales executive, Doug, and we calmly informed him that we refuse to take our vehicle back to Landmark, even to get the part fixed. We will be getting it fixed at our local dealership. More

CHECK out the BBB rating before shopping their(unfortunately for me I didnt think to research before going there) The rating is the worse I have EVER seen. Every where you look for reviews for LANDMARK DODGE, its the same issue, different people..WHY ARE THEY STILL IN BUSINESS? They are as friendly as possible until you sign your name on the dotted line, their "customer service" gets lost with the respect shortly there after. I been to the dealerships 3 times in 2 weeks, for them to correct a problem just for them to say "oo the service dept is closed". I paid an additional $350, before I even had ownership of the vehicle, no mats $80 , no gas $70, additional Key fab $200. The ONLY reason we chose them is because they were $5-6k lower than EVERYONE else, but the headache that arose from them is not worth it...*Never in a million years, would I recommend them or purchase another vehicle. They "threw" in a free oil change" but I'll pass I dont want them to EVER touch my vehicle.. Lees Summit dodge is where I will have my all my service work done. Wonderful people there...KUDOS to Nugene..what a wonderful and Honest man!!!!! More

I went to Landmark Dodge to buy a car I was a repeat customer I have never had a more insulting experience in my life! I attempted to puruse a vehicle I knew I could afford. The vehicle cost 6988 and after making me wait 24 hours and costing me a deal someplace else. They decided to tell me that the Bank wanted 3900 down and larger payments than $175 A month!..What a crock of crap. If I had 3900 down for a car I could have bought a new car for much less than an 11 year old truck! I believe that Landmark Dodge does not want to sell cars they would rather rape any customer they can find! My advice do not buy a car from these folks you will not get a good deal no matter what car you are looking to buy. In addition the salesman was constantly telling me to stay where I was not to go out side to have a cigarette. My biggest regret in dealing with then was that I was naive enough to think that being a loyal repeat customer would mean something Landmark Dodge is a symbol of what is wrong with this country. Once upon a time customer loyalty meant something there was respect, but no longer. Now there is no sense of community the customer has become just a faceless bag of money. I am dissapointed I bought my first car from Landmark Dodge in 1997 and I was excited to return to where in my opinion, I thought I was treated fairly. But times change, now my opinion has changed, they changed it. The business tactics I witnessed were deplorable considering the way I was treated yes they brought me a cold bottle of water that was appreciated; but, the rest of it was not. Not everyone has perfect credit, not everyone makes 50k per year, not everyone can afford to buy a brand new car every 3 to 5 years, and NO ONE person should be treated as if they were a criminal and be subjected banking rates reserved for the worst of the worst. The last 5 years have been rough for everyone car companies included you would think, and common sense would seem to suggest, that taking a smaller profit and selling more cars in the long run would be preferable to alienating any customer. I do realize that much of car prices are blamed on the union workers in the factories; yet, somehow I believe that multi-million dollar executive salaries and bonuses play an enormous part in the price of the car. I have concluded that, the Price of the doing business with Landmark Dodge is not worth any vehicle you could buy from them. My advice....never buy anything from them show them that customer respect should be the highest priority. Infact as much as I hate to say it (as I grew up with Dodge in mylife) Do not buy any Dodge anywhere. Perhaps The clear message can be sent, without the "Customer" they are nothing. More

I was amazed by the posts here for this dealer. I did not have a similar experience. We spent about 3 hours negotiating, but that's simply to be expected unless you are a person who just likes to pay not have a similar experience. I don't remember the sales manager's name but he certainly doesn't seem like he's the same one to whom folks are referring in this list of reviews. Overall I'd say the experience with the dealer so far was as I expected, and if they had a car I wanted I'd not avoid them. That's about the best you can say for any dealer I think. More

The sales experience was on the high pressure side. I made an offer on a car $1000 less than what they had it listed for. The sales manager went off on me for several minute then told me that if that was all I was going to offer on the car to get and don't come back. At which time I dropped the business card that I was given and headed out the door. Then the sales manger said "Thanks for being an A**HOLE!" I turned and asked your saying this in front of my 14 year old daughter then he start toward us I pushed my daughter out the door and told her to get in the car now. I headed out after her. The sales manager came out the door and said get out and don't ever come back or else. I was afraid that this guy was going to take a swing at me. Come to find out that the sales manager is the owner’s son and in talking with other dealer in the area they are all aware of his behavior. When I google them and complaints I found a very similar account almost word of word with mine along with several others. It seems that he has a anger management issue. How does Chrysler continue to let them be a dealership when this is an on going problem? How do the continue to be a Chrysler 5-star dealership which is suppose to be the top of customer service with this on going issue? Or does this 5-Star dealership mean nothing. With the current economic times and business being tough why did Chrysler choose to keep a dealer like this when they closed a lot of good dealers last year. Is this the way Chrysler wants to do business? Is this one of the reasons I and the rest of the tax payers bailed them out? And now I am an A**hole!!!! More

I went to Landmark Dodge to purchase a vehicle I had seen on an Internet add. So I get there and I speak to mike liles ( who was actually a nice guy) and i go check out the car. It was a nice ford explorer s on an Internet add. So I get there and I speak to mike liles ( who was actually a nice guy) and i go check out the car. It was a nice ford explorer sport, very clean and it seemed well maintained. So i took it out for a test drive and it seem like it drives fine. So i decide I'm interested and i tell him my price range. (I'm a college student so its not very much) The price of the car was 6,888 and he comes back saying the deal that his GM wanted to offer me was 225 for 48 months. That would have ended up being OVER 10,000 for a 2001 explorer. So I'm like no way. Anyways long story short i talk the price down close to where i want it. So I tell him I want to get it checked out by a mechanic ( because i don't trust used car dealers). He assures me that his mechanics check everything out and fix everything. Anyways the next day I took it to Firestone for a complete check up. Turns out it needs all new breaks and rotors and wouldn't even pass MO inspection ( which they told me it already had)! The break pads were falling apart! It also needed tons of other stuff that would have cost over $1700. All in all the dealership sucked and would have had a hell of a law suit had I gotten into an accident because they lied about the inspection. One positive thing i do have to say was that Mike Likes was a very nice guy and seemed like he actually wanted to get me into that car. It was his JERK manager Doug that was being very obnoxious, pushy, and pressuring me. He was the one behind all of the Lies, and bad deals. But he is the owners son so he gets to do whatever he pleases i guess. One more thing. Also this Doug guy ( i really hope I'm remembering his name correctly) asked to talk to mike for a second and asked me to step out and this guy began screaming at mike a cursing at him VERY loudly and my 7 year old brother could hear his terrible language. I really hope enough complaints get this guy out of a job. More

What a crazy experience. trying to buy a Ram truck. salesmen tells us the price ( price is even in written on the windshield ) we test drive it, agree to the price and give a deposit , salesman returns salesmen tells us the price ( price is even in written on the windshield ) we test drive it, agree to the price and give a deposit , salesman returns 20 minutes later and said that it was $1000 more than he quoted because that price was for current Dodge owners only. He knew we were not Dodge owners. So their counter offer was $1000 more than the original quoted price. We politely said no, stood up and told him we wanted our deposit back. The sales manager overhears this and sees us stand and literally went crazy in front of the other customers in the showroom and kept yelling,"SIT DOWN ! (I wasn't about to sit down for this yahoo shouting at me ) I'm generally not a yeller but it became a very ugly exchange between us for the showroom to witness, he used profanity but I didn't stoop to his level. The poor young salesman was like a deer caught in headlights. This sales manager is wacky. We bought a truck elsewhere that day and had a good laugh about the manager at Landmark Dodge. More

STAY AWAY!!! I called Landmark Dodge in interest of a used truck. I spoke to a man named Don I believe and he was pushing me to come out and buy it over the phone. When it came time to negotiate the price he wanted me to make an offer so I did, and when he proposed my offer to the sales manager, the manager said that I need to dig up some coffee cans in my backyard. I thought that was very unprofessional. Don't tell me to make an offer if your going to criticize it, and if you're a manager act like it. More

My husband, my 3 yo daughter, and I went to Landmark Dodge to get some information and test drive the Dodge Ram. Like on of the other commentors, we wanted to compare prices on 2 trucks. However, the salesman refused to give us prices and was extrememly rude and pushy. After about 15 minutes of being treated very poorly, we got up to leave. On the way out, the saleman called by husband an asshole. The sales manager then followed us across the parking lot screaming "Are you going to buy a car or not?" When we said absolutely not from that dealership, he started screaming for us to get off his lot. By this time my husband lost his temper and told the guy to quit being an asshole, which triggered a barage of profanities from the sales manager (including the F word) right in front of my child. I actually thought the sales manager was going to physically attack my husband. It was the most bizarre and surreal experience I've ever had trying to buy a car. I think they've got a loose cannon they need to get rid of - although from talking to some others who are familiar with the dealership, one of the sales managers is the owner's son. I guess that would explain why he's still around, as this obviously is not the first time he's been extremely inappropriate with customers. More
