Culture of Deception I was contacted by a LHM salesperson about an inquiry I had made online. I indicated I felt it was probably better to wait until closer to the lease e I was contacted by a LHM salesperson about an inquiry I had made online. I indicated I felt it was probably better to wait until closer to the lease end of my current vehicle (Mercedes C45) as I still owed 5 months of lease payments. The lady said, "Well, what if we can get you out of that lease?" I said I would be open to that and getting into a less expensive car. After several hours of being passed between four different individuals, and deciding on an Edge ST, they asked if I could handle a $700/mo payment on a 2018 Ford Edge ST, which they would heavily discount as it was the last day of 2018 and they needed to get rid of 2018 inventory. Plus this "new" car had 3300 miles on it. It wasn't until I got back home and had a chance to review everything a bit more calmly and without the pressure that I realized they had done specifically what I told them I didn't want to do - pay off the lease myself, essentially having 5-6 months of paying for two cars, but only having one to use. I stated that clearly and unequivocally. They had rolled my remaining lease payments into my new car loan! The next day, when I asked them about, I said, "If you were going to have me pay off my own lease, why didn't you just recommend that I keep my Mercedes, and make the lease payments myself? Then, I would have the use of both cars! Now, you set me up to pay interest for the next seven years on my remaining MB lease payments while not even having the car to use for the months for which I am paying!!!" Obviously, they didn't offer that as the better option because then it would be obvious what they were trying to obscure from me - that they weren't "getting me out of my lease" at all! I was getting myself out of it without having the benefit of the car I was paying for! Then, one of the selling features I was shown (on a 2019) was the ability to remote start from the FordPass app. It wasn't until I got home and tried to use that feature on my 2018 that I discovered it's not actually a feature on the 2018. It's unfortunate! I had dealt with LHM Mercedes of Lindon twice and found them very honest, but apparently that culture is not pervasive in all of LHM's dealerships. Given my experience with LHM Mercedes, I had let my guard down and allowed myself to be hoodwinked. Lesson learned! More

However, as soon as I got home the night I bought my car I realized the radio didn’t work. I called my sales person and told him the radio didn’t work. He said not to worry, to bring the car in and they would replace the radio risk free. He said the repair was already covered by the sales cost considering I was under the impression that the radio worked when I bought the car. I dropped my car off, explained to maintenence my situation about the repair being free, left it there for a day and didn’t hear anything back that whole day. Finally 20 minutes before they closed (mind you, I dropped the car off around 10) I got a call saying my car was ready to be picked up and that they needed a new part for the audio system, which would cost me $100. I explained that i was told it would be free and the lady said she didn’t know anything about that. I brushed it off thinking that she just didn’t understand and wasn’t in the loop. She then told me in a week they would have the part. It’s been over a month and I haven’t heard anything. The paper they taped to my rear window for my license plates is expired today and I haven’t heard anything about my plates being done. I’ve called in three times and each time they tell me they will transfer me and the call just goes to voicemail. I left a voicemail and I haven’t gotten a call back. I’m very frustrated with everything that has happened at this point. Like I said, the service was great when it came to buying the car but everything that came afterwards just gives me the impression they are just money driven. More
Awesome buying experience! I went in to see about buying a 2015 F150 Platnium that was on their web site. When I got to the dealership I was greeted by Serghei. I asked him abou I went in to see about buying a 2015 F150 Platnium that was on their web site. When I got to the dealership I was greeted by Serghei. I asked him about the truck to find out he had sold the truck the night before. I told Serghei what I was looking for F150 lariat what colors. His manager Shawn came out and helped us out on the lot of used trucks. I told both Shawn and Serghei that I had been pre approved and what my limit was. Shawn said they could get me approved for more that what the financial institute had approved me for and if we didn’t find a truck he would call around and find what I was looking for. We came to the end of the line and there sat a 2016 F150 Platnium. I test drove the truck which had more stuff on it than I was looking for. They where able to get me approved just like they said and didn’t go much over what I was per approved for. I was also able to get more for my trade than I was expecting. I did my home work on my trade in and knew where I wanted to be on a trade value. Serghei and Shawn never pushed or hassled me during the hole process their main concern was me they buyer. If they could do the deal they where okay with that and they would find what I wanted. I move on to finance where I met Houston, he was just as courteous as Serghei and Shawn. Houston walked me through the finance process, went through the warrenty process and was very attention to deal when answering my question. In all I was there for a total of 2 hours from start to finish. I took my family with me during this process and the whole Larry H Miller dealer ship was kind and courteous. I think they give my daughter a total of seven balloons and what ever she wanted to drink, even gout her some paper to draw on. In my opinion this is how car buy should be. I’ve never bought a car with this kind experience. They have my business when it comes to buying another vechile in the furture. More
