Today I purchased a 2001 Lexus, the second car we purchased at Laura's in just over a month. Besides selling great cars they are PROMISE KEEPERS. When my sister and her husband bought their first car from Laura's,(a Honda Accord),they sent a mechanic there first, before we took the 2 hour trip. Upon arriving, he was warmly greeted by Brian and went on to check out the car. The mechanic quickly called us and said this was the one! He left a deposit and we all arrived there right at closing time and Brian took all eight of us next door for pizza and my mom thought he was the sweetest. I said I wanted the exact same car and he responded if I graduated with honors he would would find the same car sell it at cost to me. Well, after studying hard and making honors I called Laura's Auto Sales and Brian called me right back and said he would work on finding me the Honda, instead he upgraded me to a Lexus (my dream car) for what I would of paid for a Honda! Advertised the vehicle as "car by owner" type in Craiglist. Met with the person in front of pharmacy for test drive. The vehicle was claimed to be in pretty good condition and well taken care o in Craiglist. Met with the person in front of pharmacy for test drive. The vehicle was claimed to be in pretty good condition and well taken care of. During payment, documents were from Laura's Auto Sale (as opposed to "car by owner" type as advertised). One small fuse cover that was claimed to be left at the house was promised to be mailed the day after the purchase. The cover was received almost two months after many unanswered emails and follow-ups. The sad thing is: the cover was received days after the engine failed yards upon exiting the free-way (thankfully) with less than two months and 2000 miles in use. Engine misfired just week after purchase. Battery and wirings were bad. Radiator was broken and I spent so much money just to make the car in pretty good condition. Unfortunately, my small savings was exhausted and I can't have the engine fixed. I am now without a car and have to rely on friends for a lift going to work and back. I'm not also sure if a dealer should be paid $50 for a temporary plate they gave me when I purchase the vehicle. More
