Staff was unprofessional, provided false information, and my oil change took 5+ hours. I made an appointment for a simple oil change and waited over five hours. After four hours, I called for an update and w my oil change took 5+ hours. I made an appointment for a simple oil change and waited over five hours. After four hours, I called for an update and was told, “Your car is almost ready, give us another 15-20 minutes.” It was another hour and 15 minutes before my car was ready. When I went to pick it up and expressed my frustration with the situation, Raymond Chow told me that “waiting 5+ hours was normal,” that I “didn’t understand how car dealerships worked.” They repeatedly said I was “inexperienced and didn’t understand how the world works.” I don’t know what world Lee Johnson Mazda exists in, but an oil change shouldn’t take upwards of five hours, and appointment times should be respected. To make matters worse, Raymond did not review my service report before handing me my car back, and lied about the status of my car and the services I received. When I asked about the status of my vehicle, he said, “Everything looks good, but you might need new tires soon.” I then asked Raymond directly if my car’s tires had been rotated. He said, “Yes. I already told you earlier today that we would.” However, as I was reading the vehicle report, it clearly said, “Tires were not rotated.” There seemed to be a valid reason why they chose not to rotate my tires, which I completely understand. However, Raymond’s choice not to read my one-page vehicle report and then provide me with a made-up guesstimate added to the unprofessional and unacceptable experience. He also failed to mention that the mechanics had recommended that I replace my CV joint boot as soon as possible, and that my tires should be replaced before winter (this took place in October). More
We had a very unfortunate situation where we bought a car from a different dealership and later learned it needed a ton of work. The other dealership did nothing to help us, but Raymond at the Mazda Service from a different dealership and later learned it needed a ton of work. The other dealership did nothing to help us, but Raymond at the Mazda Service center was amazing. He helped us get the vehicle back up to shape. Though it was still very expensive, he did everything he could to keep our costs down. Wish we had bought from them instead! More
