Unfortunately, the dealership had just closed for the day, and since it only happened occasionally on the drive, we hoped it was nothing serious. A few days later, the problem got much worse. When we contacted the dealership, their only response was: “You didn’t buy a warranty, so there’s nothing we can do.” We eventually got into a mechanic (after weeks of waiting) and learned the rear end had completely failed. The repair cost is over $3,300. We informed the dealership, and once again they refused to help—even though they sold the vehicle in this condition. Because of this, the vehicle was undriveable for over a month. I had to borrow a car from my parents and work a ton of overtime just to cover the repair—losing precious family time before my son left for college. To make matters worse: • Our salesman originally offered to let us take the car home overnight to “decide,” but his supervisor pushed the deal hard. Now it’s clear why. • The finance manager was extremely rude, put the wrong financing company on our paperwork, and when we called to clarify, he doubled down without apologizing. • We were also sent the wrong title. Because of how this was handled, I have reported Lee’s Summit Subaru to: ✔️ The Attorney General’s Office ✔️ The Federal Trade Commission ✔️ The Better Business Bureau ✔️ The Missouri Department of Revenue’s Dealership Licensing Division This experience has been a nightmare. Dealerships should not get away with knowingly selling unsafe vehicles to families. Please think twice before doing business with Lee’s Summit Subaru. More
After 5 decades of buying automobiles, I've Finally Driven Away with Absolutely Everything Positive🎯 Lee's Summit Subaru and their salesman, Isaac Castro, intensely focused on what I and my wife "Had Driven Away with Absolutely Everything Positive🎯 Lee's Summit Subaru and their salesman, Isaac Castro, intensely focused on what I and my wife "Had to Have", as well as our "Nice to Have" desires and Affordably Fulfilled Absolutely Everything🎯 They were Professional, Courteous, Prompt & Attentive to Every Detail, And to top it all off, GET THIS: The first time we drove out to their dealership was to Take Delivery of Exactly What We Needed & Wanted🎯 From my first new car purchase (Military in SouthEast Asia) in 1968 through dozens since, in every imaginable situation including being friends with dealership owners, buying several models of Chrysler, GM, Lincoln & Mercedes Benz upscale models, I never came close to such a successful purchase! Such a pleasant surprise in this day and age, that prior to calling Lee's Summit Subaru, we'd given up on finding any dealership that would even sincerely listen to us. Dealer after dealer, visit after visit, sure, they wanted the sale but Never Paid Attention - Every visit we'd have to reiterate every detail, most often to salespersons that too often didn't even know their products, trim levels & which options came with which models. Truly Pathetic! We even had a dealer rep accidentally trip the door alarm on one auto, and no one in the showroom could shut it off. All of this with a wife that could barely walk due to painful sciatica issues, but we endured six weeks of this before calling Lee's Summit Subaru's Isaac Castro - What A Relief, Even Though They're Nearly an Hour's Drive Away! Lee's Summit Subaru's Salesman, Extremely Knowledgeable, but Cared About Every Detailed Requirement We Had, Researched Everything They Had, then Everything On Order to Find Exactly What We Needed and Wanted🎯 Isaac Castro spent untold hours searching for Our Perfect Automobile, Found it in transit from Subaru, relayed spec after spec to ensure that it truly met our every desire, then laid out an acceptable "lockin deposit" plan, and coordinated getting it treated with a ceramic protective coating, all from our cozy family room. A few weeks later when it was ready for delivery, we made our first drive to Lee's Summit Subaru, met our newfound friend Isaac, test drove the new Forester, wrote the check and proudly drove off within a few hours of arrival. BY FAR, THE BEST CAR-BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER❣️!!!! That includes corporate buys from North Carolina to California, combined totalling dozens of vehicles! And even tops buys I made alongside the Advertising Agent (Hal Miller, personal friend) of the Balderston Group (70s & 80's). Purchased a used vehicle from this dealership. Sales process was very smooth but the issue was when it came to the inspection process. Within one day of taking the car home, I found that the fro Sales process was very smooth but the issue was when it came to the inspection process. Within one day of taking the car home, I found that the front brake rotors were warped and that the front brake pads were cracked. We also found that the rear tires were worn severely and cupped. I attempted to work with the used car manager but he consistently wanted to tell me that it was against Missouri law for him to fix the items after I had signed the "WE OWE" document and those issues were not listed. The manager would not even pay attention and allow me to voice my concerns of the safety issue and attempt to come up with an amicable solution. He would not allow this customer to voice his concern properly. I strongly suggest that if anyone purchases a used vehicle from this establishment that you have it safety and operationally checked independently from their service department. More
Called yesterday and something was wrong with their phones and they kept cutting off the call. I called the service Dept and said I needed and new battery. That lady switched me to the parts Dept and t phones and they kept cutting off the call. I called the service Dept and said I needed and new battery. That lady switched me to the parts Dept and the man said, uh yeah we have a battery for your car. I asked if they would install it and he said, uh yeah and switched me to service. Same lady as before. She put me on hold a couple of times and the said Di you have a 2011 Outback. I said yes. She said hold on. The came back and said they could install it tomorrow, would that work? I said no because it’s going to be about 7 degrees out/snowing. I told her that I had been a customer for years and I would get the battery elsewhere. They are so disorganized. They used to be a great place. Not sure what has happened but I will use a different dealership. By the way, I needed the battery today, not tomorrow. More
My kids found the car of my dreams and the wonderful salesperson who helped me was so patient and helpful . Her name is Alex and I would recommend her any day of the week.
