From desperate to grateful I just purchased my second previously owned Honda from Autopark Honda. This purchase was anticipated but for a future date. Why I bought my car from Ronnie Davis There were several things about Ronnie that persuaded me to buy the car. First, he did not try to bait and switch by leaving me standing around new v There were several things about Ronnie that persuaded me to buy the car. First, he did not try to bait and switch by leaving me standing around new vehicles in the showroom in an effort to get me to buy "more vehicle" than I wanted or could afford. I know that trick. It irritates me and he did not do it. He also never pressured me to look at new cars, thereby wasting my time. I told him fairly precisely what I was looking for, and that I wanted to test drive one particular vehicle and he listened! HE LISTENED and made that happen quickly. I did not feel I was getting some phony rehearsed sale. I had been looking at this type of vehicle closely for sometime, researching it and comparing to other midsized SUVs I had already test driven. Ronnie was very knowledgeable about this vehicle and also other competitor vehicles right down to cubic feet and other features to think about. I told him I was also considering Subaru and he explained to me how much more expensive Subarus are to maintain (not due to unreliability but due to routine maintenance of the all wheel drive systems) That was something I had never considered and appreciated learning. Ronnie never "talked down to me" like some salesmen do to women customers. (I had actually "put off" the task of buying a car because of that very reason and the high pressure stuff which sends me walking fast--OUT the door!) When I said I did not want to purchase additional warranties, products etc, nobody, not Ronnie nor Luigi tried to twist my arm or not take no for an answer. They accepted my choices politely and with good humor. I liked that. Ronnie was funny, personable, affable, articulate, knew his products, and advised me on some financing ins and outs which was also helpful to me and appreciated. I would refer a friend to him without hesitation. He does his job very well and provides top quality customer service. It was also just plane fun talking to him about other topics of mutual interest. I enjoyed doing business with him. I would not feel afraid or uncomfortable about calling him with a problem or question on the vehicle. The CarFax sheet was also indispensable. It also helped me make my choice and close the sale. The vehicle had more miles on it than I would ideally have liked, but when I saw it was a one owner leased vehicle and saw all of the servicing that had been done by the dealership to put the vehicle on the lot in tip top condition (no expense spared on a new set of tires, new brakes, wheels aligned, the 30,000 mile routine maintenance I knew this was a good car at a fair price. Then he offered to drive it to my house for me, and on the way he filled up the tank with gasoline in the yucky cold rain. That has never happened to me before in an auto purchase. It was a nice, thoughtful gesture, much appreciated. So to quote Forrest Gump, "That's about all I got to say 'bout that." ---Deborah Lynn Trauley More
