Better than Carmax! I have been looking for an efficient SUV for months doing indebt research on a few makes and models and by far the Mazda CX-5 has far exceeded my expectations in gas mileage, efficiency, and comfort. I have found the 2014 Mazda CX-5 on USAA Car Buying Services with Lindsay Chevrolet as one of their certified dealers. The vehicle was listed as a 2014 Mazda CX-5 Sport, AWD, 4,600 miles, Navigation System and One Owner. I have contacted Mr. Johnan Johnson who was listed as the POC on the listing. When I did not receive a response from him, I decided to visit the dealership and test drive the vehicle. Upon walking in, I was immediately greeted by Daniel, one of the sales managers and was introduced to Nathan who ended up being my Sales Consultant. Since I have done my research and homework on the vehicle, had with me the CARFAX report, I was not interested in looking at any other vehicles but the particular one in mind. Nathan took me to take a look at the Mazda and explained to me some of the features. We then went for a test drive with him driving first then we switched. He further explained the controls inside, the features in the middle console, as well as the information panel on the dashboard. While on the test drive we could not get the Navigation System to work, kept pressing the button, switching different views, even looked at the manual to figure out where the navigation card should be installed. Nothing!!! The vehicle DID NOT have a Navigation system and it was FALSELY advertised. I’ll come back to this later. After the test drive, Nathan and I came back to the dealership to begin our price negotiations. Talking about hours of going back and forth on my desired price. I have to say that Nathan was extremely cooperative and even though persistent at his job duties as a sales person, he was trying to be accommodating to my budgeted vehicle price. Bravo to him! After serious deliberations with going back and forth to ask his manager to agree on my price – WOW, what a show that was – we had finally reached an approved price, about a $1,000 more on what I initially wanted to pay but I had given myself some wiggle room just in case. Lastly, the Navigation System came back into the question of why we could not find where the slot for the card was??? Well, we found out at the end - after we had already agreed on the final price that in fact, the vehicle did not have a Navigation System. It was ready for one, since it had the center screen console with a Navigation System button on it. Nathan was once again extremely professional and understanding to my disappointment and immediately offered to drop the price by $750 apologizing for the misunderstanding and the false advertising. I was extremely happy because I did not care for the Navigation in the first place – it was just a Bonus that came with the car – I was more upset with the principle of false advertisement! Keith from Accounting/Finance was another perfect example of great customer service and taking care of you. I was going to finance a portion of the price through USAA, however he was able to get me an amazingly low interest rate through U.S. Bank. It all worked out perfectly at the end – I would definitely recommend this dealership and specifically ask for Nathan Hathaway. Do your detailed research, compare prices, have a Carfax report on your chosen vehicle and most importantly – do not be afraid to negotiate until you reach your desired price, you’ll be surprised on the outcome. However, Alvin Bryant took over and was extremely professional and courteous the entire time. Although the cars we came in to see were already sold, Alvin found another car that was even better and gave us a fantastic price! I also appreciate his follow through to make sure we were happy even a month later. Thank you, Alvin! More

Even though they are currently in the middle of a huge renovation, the dealership was as neat and well organized as the Ritz Carlton! The staff was extremely cordial and made me feel as if I were dealing with family. Mr. Alfonso Brooks is a rock star!!!!! His superior knowledge of the automobiles and the products that the dealership sells is outstanding! Alfonso epitomizes true honesty, character and a great desire to meet the needs of his customers. Throughout my entire buying experience, he made me feel as I was the only customer in the dealership; he answered all my questions accurately and thoroughly, listened to my automotive needs and desires attentively and responsively, he truly valued my time, and displayed the utmost hospitality. Alfonso also knew absolutely everything about the car I wanted to purchase. He introduced me to all the departments of Lindsay Chevrolet, and ensured that before I drove off in my new car, I was fully integrated into the dealership’s service department schedule for future routine service on my new car. Now that is dedication to service!! Alfonso even had my car washed and detailed before I left the dealership!! I’ve had my new car for a week now, and he’s even called me twice to ensure I was happy with my purchase and just to see generally how I was doing. I wish I could clone this guy and have him on my staff in my office!! We sure could use his dedication to excellence! Mr. Alfonso Brooks is deserving of the highest accolades for his superior salesmanship, extreme professionalism and dedication to world-class customer service. The finance department at Lindsay Chevrolet is too great for words!! They found the best terms for me and financed me efficiently and effectively. They are the greatest financiers I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. I have truly found my new car buying home. Credit app was lost. Price quoted was not true price due to not qualifying. Even though several emails stating I did qualify. Then to be ridiculed by sales manager JJ. To the point he was within inches of my face as a threat. So I leave dealership. Trying to speak with GM which no one would tell me name. Finally after several emails and calls. GM. Paul Smyth calls me and basically blames me and my credit for the issues and since I won't be purchasing a car from him there is nothing he can do. There Was No Apologies From Him About The Manner They Deceived The Price And Also The Harassing Attitude His Sales Manager JJ portrayed. I asked to speak to owner Chris Lindsay and Paul said I didn't have to and there is nothing to be done and hung up phone on me.
