Find another shop!!! Our GMC Acadia was taken to Jessie Griffith’s repairs in elk city for a new wiring harness. Two and a half weeks later we were told that it needed an Our GMC Acadia was taken to Jessie Griffith’s repairs in elk city for a new wiring harness. Two and a half weeks later we were told that it needed an entire new engine, not a wiring harness. The car is still under manufacturer warranty so it was towed to Doug Gray Chevrolet Buick GMC in elk city. It sat there for another four weeks before they got the engine replaced. We finally got the car back but had to take it BACK to Doug gray the very next day because all of the oil in the car ended up in our driveway. They told us they had to drop the transmission to get to the leak which took them another two and a half weeks. The leak was cause by the mechanic who replaced the engine, something about not tightening something up all the way. We get the car back, again and within two weeks we had to take it BACK to Doug gray for the third time because when they reassembled everything, they did not reinstall the rear drive shaft correctly. This time, GM union was on struck so there was no way to get parts in to replace the drive shaft so it sat in the shop for another three and a half weeks until we finally got it back again. So far we’ve had no more issues but it’s only been a week. Our experience was awful! Chrissie, who works the front desk, was great and always gave us the best update she could when we would call but the service department just doesn’t seem interested in doing their jobs in a timely manner or correctly for that matter. Next time we need a Chevy certified shop, we’ll be driving to weatherford. Doug gray was nothing but a headache. More
