Rude and Pushy F & I Up until this last weekend, I was in the market for a pre-owned BMW and found what I wanted at this dealer at the end of the day on Friday. I spoke w Up until this last weekend, I was in the market for a pre-owned BMW and found what I wanted at this dealer at the end of the day on Friday. I spoke with a salesman who appeared to mean well, but wasn't familiar with the vehicle really at all. I fortunately knew enough to know I wanted it and after talking initial numbers with the salesman decided to come back the next morning with my trade to finish the deal. Everything appeared to be moving along until the F & I idiot informs me of the payment amount, which was WAY over where it was supposed to be, and that it was the "best" he could do, with an attitude. I felt uneasy and when I asked why, he began to give me the typical car sales BS. I told him I would talk to my personal lender and would come back Monday and if the car was there, then I would reconsider. He then became pushy and commented that he had someone right outside the door who wanted the car and didn't care if I bought the car or not because it would be gone before the end of the day. I rarely lose my temper with people, but this guy made my blood boil and I probably said some things I shouldn't have in pubic. Regardless, he was disrespectful and cocky and I will NEVER set foot on that property again. By the way...I was trading in a Mercedes ML350 AND an older BMW 325ci. The numbers were soooooo low even I knew they could do better IF they wanted. After I left, I stopped by the dealer (Prestige Cars which is just down the road) where I bought the ML350 and found a BETTER BMW for a BETTER price AND they allowed me about 4K MORE on my trade. My issue was mainly with the F & I clown. The salesman, while not knowledgeable as he should have been, was at least friendly and tried. Regardless, if potential customers are treated the way I was treated, it's amazing your still in business, Long dealerships. More
